Nope, I was with you saying the same thing. Maybe i shouldn't wonder why I'm earning minimum wage and not millions as a football manager
Wasn't that Redmond, who should have got the foul, but the ref played on and Davies scored, or are we mixing two injustices?
I haven't checked, but I suspect that we'll still be last on Match of The Day. It just increases the Anticipation, to paraphrase The Rocky Horror Show
All part of the same event. Started with Redmond in the opposite corner. (I think he actually gave Everton a FK, which Pickford decided to take about 30 yards further forward.) We then mostly cleared the attack, only for Bertand to keep the ball in play, rather than stick it into row Z with time up.
I'll never forget that match, beautiful weather and almost the perfect away day. ****s. It honestly feels like we'll never win there again.
I went for a walk in my local park as that Everton game was coming to an end. I watched the updates on the Betfair site on my phone, as that tends to offer the fastest real-time updates. Guessed what had happened when betting was suspended deep into injury time.
I broke my sunglasses by throwing them at the floor in disgust. Had to apologise after a lens popped out and hit a steward He was sound about it tbf, good bunch the Scousers generally.
Seeing the penalty save again, just amplifies the need to put some power into the shot, because Romeu or Armstrong would have been favourites to get to the rebound before any Bournemouth player. And if it had somehow rebounded to the other side of the goal, Shane Long was the only player there, with Ings in the middle. The Bournemouth players seemed to have given up any chance of the keeper saving it.
Seeing the three var decisions (all correct I'll add) go against B'mouth in the last couple games, I'd guess they will be happy to be out of the premier league & away from the pain of video tech. All three have seemed very cruel, and I would have been gutted to be on the receiving end of any of them. The timing of each adding to the pain.
That was another decent performance against a side desperate to win. Fair to say that we should have done better than we did. Redmond really should have put away that one on one and Dannys pen miss was a bummer but against a side like bournemouth I wouldnt have complained about a draw or even a narrow defeat. I cant say i feel any animosity toward them from all the way over here but winning is a habit and we need to be playing for the win every game so in that respect I'm stoked. Our form has been sensational and every nudge up the table looks good. KWP was excellent again and special mention for Bertrand on the other side who is on a really good run of form as well. Stoked to see Che hit the net but even better that it came from the interchange with Obafemi. Was it Chelsea where the pair of them scored another good goal? Good partnerships are worth their weight in goals.
I don't think we will have an everlasting south coast derby thread for this game which indicates just how very low intensity the rivalry is - if there is any rivalry at all. I agree with the person who said they are like your annoying little sister. She gets on your tits but you wouldn't harm her or let anyone else for that matter. The only thing you can say is that they are located nearby and can be a little annoying at times and have some silly young fans desperate for some sort of angst in their lives. I do not experience a loathing for them as that is all reserved for our rivals i.e. that nasty horrid bunch of bell ringing, skate scumbags to the east. We won a game of football yesterday and that is great. As the young people say today "end off".
