Or Bolton or even Bury. At least Blackpool found a way to (eventually) get rid of their spiteful owner!
Missing a trick, just go straight for a National Conference manager then Ehab has got the next 2 seasons covered at least!
https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/nigel-adkins-supporters-message-relegation-4344653 I remember meeting Nige shortly after he'd been appointed. It was in Beverley one Sunday. A good chat. After commenting that I was pleased to see him appointed, but concerned (!) what he'd let himself in for due to having to work under the Allams., he later asked "what's the one thing that you would change if you could ... but it can't be the owners". I replied "the owners .. as we won't move forward until they've gone, nothing else really matters". He seemed to almost acknowledge it, but said something like "ok, let's see". I did end up also offering the advice that we desperately needed an Ian Ashbee type character or two. I would still be giving exactly the same advice now. Top bloke (as they say).
I'd take a punt on getting Fergie Junior from Peterborough, plus his backroom coaching and scouting staff.
Why would he leave a better job to come here? Peterboro sacked our great leader to get Ferguson back after realising they made a mistake - only they didn't wait for 19 games, 6 points and relegation as bottom club to do it. He wouldn't touch us with a barge pole.
That isn’t the only reason people leave. I imagine our budget will be similar to Peterborough’s, he wouldn’t get any more here than he did at his current club.
He hasn't, he left Peterborough twice by mutual consent after a poor run of results, he didn't have another job lined up on either occasion.
I'd like to think that as we were apparently after the Cowley boys before, and with no compensation now due which supposedly was the stumbling block before, that Ehab could do himself a big favour by getting these boys in once Terry has lost his final match at Cardiff. They have achieved something in the game and are young and hungry.
Anyone know when McCant contract is due to expire .. I'm aware he is on a rolling contract but presume that this will has had to have been extended to cover the end of season run in.
Oh no, ground hog day I believe that as of today his contract would expire 21st July 2021. Ending it today would cost 1 year salary compensation, unless the terms perhaps were a percentage of the 12 months / 12 month's salary. Here we go .......
He's been in charge for approx one year and with relegation he's probably cost the club something in the region of 20 times his annual salary already! A very expensive flop!
