Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has refused to discuss the possibility of a swap deal between Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, 24, who is keen on a move to Tottenham, and Walker-Peters. (Sky Sports)

£10m? That’s cheap......can’t see us getting him for only that.

Southampton are hoping to secure a £10m permanent deal for Tottenham's English defender Kyle Walker-Peters, 23, who has been on loan at Saints since January. (Sun)

I am a little bit cynical here too, You just know Levy is going to make it difficult for us, Especially as they want Pierre too. It'll be, Trade with us and not City, Reduce your asking price for Pierre and we will sell to you at £10m

I mean personally if those are the terms, I'd be happy to let Pierre go and bring in 15M plus KWP.

Good business I think. Although Im not keen on the idea that we would bring Reed back and then not replace Hojbjerg. If we were to spend the £10m-£15m on a CB, that would we have spent nothing at all. I know money is tight but surely we would have enough left to bring in another CM - especially as we might sell a couple more.

Surely Ralph knows what he wants to do, He has earnt that, and Knows what players he feels will help the club going forward.

The transfer of PEH is wonderful to behold. He apparently has ambition, which is fine. But then to want to go Tottenham?

As for KWP there may be some over-expectation from Saints fans. We're Southampton, not Real Madrid. The lad looks like he could play for us. Sure he'll make balls ups and concede the odd goal, but then that's what defenders do at higher levels then SFC.

Interesting. Assuming it is Everton willing to pay £35m EDIT - Some saying it may be Man City - Id have thought he would prefer that move though.

Funny situation - neither of the 3 parties has the ball in their court.

We have ultimate control over whether Hojbjerg leaves or waits another year - of course we would love to sell for £35m but Hojbjerg can just decline it - but would he risk waiting a year to move to Spurs as they could move on?

Even if we did play hardball and tell him he stays or signs for Everton, we obviously want KWP - so Spurs have power in that sense.

Ideal scenario is Spurs accept his value is £35m and pay us KWP + £20m/£25m.
