So if Wigan beat us on Tuesday, even with a 12 point deduction, they'll be ahead of us on Goal Difference.

Good at breaking up the oppositions play apparently.

    An Interceptor so to speak.

I never expected it to be Hull City who'd fall on their sword for Wigan!

Youve got to admire Wigan. No downing of tools. Playing for the manager, fans, their future etc whereas those crooks in surrender white, couldn't give a ****, a toss, a **** , all down to mindless idiotic management from the very top.
I could see the decline coming a couple of years ago, the surprise is its taken this long.

One for the 'there's no buyers out there' crowd...

Wigan's ownership situation could be resolved by the end of the month.

Bids for the Championship club have to be lodged with the administrators by the end of July.

The level of interest has been so high, over 60 non-disclosure issues were eventually issued and more than one firm expression of interest has already been received in response, it is not anticipated an extension to this date will be required.

This means unless two similar bids have been received - in which case the parties will be notified and given the chance to improve their offer - a preferred bidder will be identified and contracts can start to be negotiated.

If an agreement is signed by 31 July, it would just need to be formally ratified by the English Football League.

Alas you have to have owners who are prepared to sell to actually accomplish a sale ! Who actually have a reasonable expectation of what a correct value is ! And whom are prepared to make a deal and stick to it .... we have none of the above.

Or, perhaps more importantly, something that’s worth selling.

The state the Allams have left our club in makes us one of the worst propositions in the football league.

Poor squad, poor infrastructure, no fans, no stadium. I don’t know why anyone would want to buy us anyway unless it was a bargain basement price. The lower we drop the less attractive we become.

I'm still doing Euromillions every week, so hang on in there as my luck will change in a rollover week.

Given it would be free money, I'd pay the Allam's price to get them to **** off as a gift to the people of Hull (ironic, I know). I know nothing about running a football club, so I'd hire someone that did and listen to them. Apply a bit of common sense across the organisation, get good people in position. And then leave them all to it and just turn up on match day to enjoy the hospitality.

    I can dream.

Who wants to buy a football club in these uncertain times? Apparently there are parties interested in little wigan. Little doubt they aren't asking £30m/£40m, for a business with little in the way of assets. There's the difference.
I'd offer to buy city for a take it or leave it £5m with possible add-ons should they reach the premier league in five years.

    I wish!!!!
Surely someone could rustle up a consortium of local entrepreneurs to find £5m, Thereagain we are talking about a city in the back of beyond and at the end of the line.
Ps...I hear that welly and polar bear have gone under today. Sad news.

Wigan may not be able to start the new season if the club is not sold by 31 August, say the Latics' administrators.

Four parties are in talks but administrators say if a deal is not completed it would leave them responsible for the team and the fulfilment of fixtures.

In a statement they said "they do not wish to commit to something we cannot see through" if the club is not sold.

The English Football League season is due to begin on Saturday, 12 September.

Despite the ultimatum, the administrators say they are optimistic a deal can be done.

The EFL report into what happened at Wigan, shows that Wigan were one of the clubs who voted to end the season immediately, which would have guaranteed they stayed up (pretty much proving that the large Malaysian relegation bet rumour was a load of bollocks).

Very strange goings on with the owner of Wigan , asking about the details of putting the club into admin
before he'd actually taken over apparently
