Thanks, I can't get that bloody tune out of my head now Mind you fair's fair, a while back I mentioned Wired For Sound as my favourite Cliffy toon and you said you couldn't get the image of Cliffy on roller skates in a shopping mall out of your head
So, a mask won't stop any droplets of a cough etc? Why do doctors and surgeons wear them then? To look like ninjas? *copyright of Saffy*
They are designed so dentists and surgeons don't dribble in your mouth or an open wound . If you can smell farts through a surgical mask then they don't work as a filter.
Surgeons wear surgical masks. A scarf isn’t a surgical mask and most of the “masks” aren’t surgical masks. Cant believe you are comparing surgeons operating on ****s brains and hearts with some fanny buying his messages from Asda. If masks were so wonderful, why are we wearing them 15 weeks later in supermarkets but we can go for a pint or a meal and not wear them? Supermarkets have never been busier, they have taken on extra staff to stock shelves etc, there has been no wave of supermarket staff being hospitalised by the “deadly virus”. The stats and data are clear, less than 0.25% have died, the median age is 83. 50% of the dead have 5 OR MORE, underlying health issues, over 90% have at least one underlying morbidity. I’ve always had a low opinion of you but by ****, it’s hit rock bottom now.
The whole 'masks in shops' message is to try and give a little confidence to the returning workforce. Enough confidence for them to visit the local Starbucks or Pret at lunch break and so put a tiny plaster over the gaping wound in our economy. Yacontcha!
The Govt need to stop pandering to the fearful and tell them to man the **** up. The risk is minute to all but the elderly and sick.
Correct they wear them to stop germs etc going into other people's mouths. We agree on that. Who mentioned scarves? I'm talking about masks, but a scarf would no doubt be better than not wearing anything. Why are they just bringing the masks in now? Not sure, but my first guess would be because the government are ****ing idiots?
No, people are meek and fearful and unable to think freely and critically. Masks are not law, “coverings” are. In Sturgeonia, we have 2 people in ICU with “the virus”, yet we have 5m people being told not to work, not to socialise, not to meet in big groups! Our society is supposed to be free. Ultimate accountability falls at the individual but Govt has been eroding this accountability for decades hence we get populist movements because people fail to take ownership of their issues and blame the system or group or government or race. You want to wear a mask, go ahead, don’t make a law forcing me to wear one, especially when the evidence that it makes any difference is negligible at best.
I’ve been out and about throughout lockdown, I’ve been out on my bike with my pals, playing football and going round for a bevvy in my parents house. Julie was initially racked with Catholic guilt that I was disobeying the rules but I told her that I was going to do what I wanted and **** the stupid illogical rules. My kids have also been flouting the rules and then Julie eventually came round too.
I thought Scotland was the worst place per population in Europe? Did you not say that? To be honest, I thought it was Belgium.
