    I read somewhere that Wycombe started with 9 players coming into league 1 this season too, They certainly werent predicted to be up there. Fair play.

    Again, its a lovely story, and Gareth seems to have a special talent. But the Championship can be the most unforgiving league. Even with good recruitment they have a fight on their hands, and I'm not confident they will have that.

    As it stands, the Wigan points deduction would put them 21st. Staying out of the drop zone on goal difference. To Hull. With a 25-goal gap, almost half of it having been opened in the last 20 minutes!
