I didn't know that either. As long as it's for food I can't really criticise. Hope he wasn't into shooting lions etc for trophies.

Hare coursing got caught in the crossfire when Tony Blair’s government issued a blanket ban on hunting with dogs, rather than specifically targeting fox hunting.

The Romans brought hare coursing to these shores. 2000 years of history wiped out on a whim. Sad really.

As often as not, the hare gets away. If it doesn’t, it goes in the pot. It’s a million miles from fox hunting - no one ever ate a fox.

Hunting wild animals is arguably far less cruel than what goes on on most livestock farms.

Meh, same thing. Wild ones at least have a 'normal' life going on before some ****s chases it and tries to rip it apart. There are plenty suffering already, as you said, leave the wild ones out of it.

I had rabbit pie at a country pub but there were so many black peppercorns in it , I honestly couldn’t say what rabbit meat tastes like.

People always say it has a strong taste, but what the **** is that meant to mean? Doesn't exactly tell you what it tastes like.

Nope, these were caught in a trap. Also I'm the forum's premier expert on identifying metal objects.
