What have I said that is wrong?

it's a football forum where people discuss their opinions about their club and if people disagree then a discussion ensues.

Season ticket sales are low because a nasty little flu bug started a couple of weeks after they went on sale, and they suspended sales. And at this point in time when theatres are looking like they won’t open till 2021. I would think the ones that will buy are waiting to see what happens.

Most people are expecting come colder months and pubs opening and will get fuller that the second spike won’t be too far away.

I wouldn’t count the season tickets sold figures on anything else other than this virus.

They replaced LJ because he failed to achieve the goal of top 6, they replaced him as soon as this wasn’t achievable, he’s a long contract to pay off so not sure of your logic on being due the financial position due the Covid-19 as the cheaper option would have been to keep him.

Rod explains in his post why the SC sales are only 6,000 or so.

You'll soon come to realise that LJ was bombproof on here. Whatever point you make the Cabal will use :

    R&W as the advanced guard.
Ashton Red, Supcon and Rod are the foot soldiers. If this 4some doesn't stop you then Loaths and Chief 1For will come looking for you.
They're particularly upset right now. Their silly dreams of Junior leading us to the Prem failed, and as predicted 4years ago, it all ended in tears.

    Ps
Still waiting for Loaths and 1For's choice of manager.

do we need a new visionary? We had a number of those 5 -8 years ago and only 1 worked! we wasted zillions on trying to get the right one right players right system on and off the pitch we have now spent zillions getting a good stadium good training [ground ] good scouting network, good academy, good players …. sweep it all out and start again ...like the 3 visits to the "5 pillars" ? ….. at the moment we may just be 1 piece of the jigsaw missing we want a bit that will fit … <ok>

need some help here can you point me to the "fans /boards " [ or club boards, owners, not 606 type] who had bad things to say about Lee as a manager at Barnsley or Oldham ...bearing in mind these were his first 2 clubs before us

the REALLY sad thing is you spent 4 years of your diminishing time on this planet fretting and bad mouthing Lee as many times as you could and at every opportunity … the rest of us sat back in a relaxed state poking you with a pointed stick from time to time to annoy like you when it got a bit quiet... most managers last an average of 2 seasons … pushing 5 aint bad .. I hope he comes back to haunt us

Do you really think we should carry on and employ a new manager/head coach to advise us to follow the same old, same old which has ended up with failure and us sacking LJ, we need a new dynamic, a new vision and a new pathway forward for Bristol City FC.

I don't care if we have an old warrior, a young stallion, a person of fashion, a tradionalist or an absolute revoloutionary to lead us, just someone with ideas and an independent way forward to allow us to breathe and be proud of our team, someone to follow SL's vision but align it with flexibility and traditional values.

WHAT DO WE NEED? ………… well it depends on the width of your vision … almost everyone on here expected us to finish at least 8th or better ...icing on the cake was top 6 and an added candle was autopromo ..
Had the season finished pre covid everyone would have been happy except RP and JiFfie ..NEXT SEASON it would be a new ball game … maybe a major new ball game … .
How teams [players ] react to the present is still up in the air .. its like playing in leagues 8 and 9 no crowds a bland false atmosphere .. and the threat of catching it hanging over your head … OK seems now less intense, but is this the time before the dawn? look at Melbourne …
I think the board knee jerked … took the opportunity to have a run of easy games to say " there you are we were right just won 5 and without LEE" bearing in mind they didn't exactly help the cause in February having got rid of JOSH, we went from 1.6 pts a game to half that up to covid …
I think the manager needs to fit in WITH what has been successful in the main, not come in and sweep it all away and try and do it their way … hopefully it will be on a 1 year rolling contract .. or else we will finish up paying out 3 or 4 players wages for a couple of years on settling 2 or more managers and their entourages as we did pre LEE... Holden should be given a chance at least 15 games into next season [ if he does not screw up winning the next 4 which is easily achievable ] LEE'S TECNOLOGY AND ETC'S has cost a lot and it shows signs of working .. it was what SL wanted and now …….???????

Our LJ didn’t quite end up with that job for life did he, SL would never sack him they said.

Shame people couldn’t look past the fact at who his dad was but oh well.

I'm flattered that you are so interested in my opinion for next choice of manager. However seeing I didn't want our manager to go (although I do understand the reasoning behind it) and that none of the managers being mentioned enthuse me then I haven't got an opinion and I'm just going to see what happens. However what I can say is whoever it is will receive my full backing, its just a shame that our last manager never received this. By the way on the subject of waiting for answers I'm still waiting for a reason of why you feel more angst towards black people having a party in Brixton than towards white people having party in Croydon

Well Rp don't class myself as a clapper but if i had a choice it would be Aitor Karanka, saying that, if he doesn't get his own way he might do a Steve Coppell.[/QUOTE]

I liked Karanka at Boro and thought he did a very decent job there and played attractive football to boot. I just wonder whether the Latin temperament clouds his judgement sometimes, and why he wanted out of Forest with them well placed has never been fully clarified either.
I mentioned Rafa Benetiz previously who is currently managing in China, but maybe his best managerial days are behind him, plus he's presumably under contract and would probably be more expensive than anyone else being mooted as possible replacements.
We'll wait with baited breath for the new Messiah

I honestly could not give you an exact name from the existing list of possibles to match my ideal candidate, I will give you 2 names of managers I admire and if available and we could afford them I think would be ideal, Mauricio Pochettino or Nuno Espirito Santo, of course to have one of those two I would be in dreamland but a younger man with their ideas and outlook would be right up my street, I like ROD's idea of scouting a foreign national and we might find one.

My choice of the current crop based on obvious experience, previous successes, personality and media skills would be Chris Hughton.
