To be fair Swanny nailed that on Humberside, he pointed out that Cliff Byrne’s experiences, in the main, came in League One, so probably he’s not capable of working/coaching at Championship level. Very valid point.

 

So have I, I’d gladly do it again though.

 

If you have a league 1 manager, coaching staff and players, then you will get a league 1 team. Ipswich tried the same strategy and they got to league 1 in double quick time. Sadly McCann seems to have a teflon coating and will be with us next season.

Who was the player, name escapes me, we got from port vale, later played for leeds, hardly scored for city, but scored a worldy that day from 30 yards out.

 

yeah I heard that. But drumming simple defending can't be that hard, can it? We do it game after game. Fail to pick up players, allow them space and fail to defend the space. Plus the defending midfielders don't put a shift in and block runners. Little wonder we're ******.

His assessment :

"I think you've seen in the performance the boys are working ever so hard and they've done everything they can to try to get the win.

"I thought performance-wise and chances created, we were good, we got into dangerous areas. The response from the boys in the second half was excellent.

"They showed a bit of fighting spirit and were unlucky not to come away with a point if truth be told. In terms of their performance and work ethic I couldn't fault them.

"Yes, of course, we need to be better defensively but we've got four games now where we all need to stick together and try to get the right response."

Problem is with all the football bullshit speak, the league table doesn't have a 'working ever so hard' column, or ' performance-wise' or 'unlucky not to come away ...' or even 'get the right response'.

It's just plain old simple Won, Drawn, Lost, GF, GA, Points.

Can we have an update please that was in 2007.

 

Lets face it, we're not playing well enough to stay up. The 'boro win was undeserved and probably made McCann even more confident that his system works.

We setup the exact same every game and as others have said, the opposition know exactly what to expect, its very naive of McCann.

With Ehab saying he expects McCann to be here next season, even if we go down.. the only thing that can save us now is new owners.

 

It's about time Paxo was brought in to ask the post match questions because Terry didn't answer a question. He
sounded like a politician who knew the game was up.

He’s just a one trick pony, and he’s not even good at that. Even with injuries and the players available we should be doing better. It’s exactly the same mistakes time and time again. Even an amateur manager would recognise these mistakes and address them by either changing the formation or the personnel.

He’s terrible and it’s so frustrating to watch. I have seen some crap City teams in my time supporting them and this team is right up there.
