Burnley are defending like we were on Sunday. Somewhat embarrassingly for Burnley, it's West Ham doing this to them, not Man City. Pope really should be England no.1, in my book.
David Silva gets the goal that the whole world and media wanted from him to get in the last match. I'm pleased for him. And pleased for Alex.
How the hell does Tarkowski stay on the pitch after that? It’s crazy when you look at Bertrand’s sending off v Leicester! It’s inconsistent refereeing which is just awful! Thought VAR was supposed to sort that out? Tom? Comment please from a referee.
Not really. A borderline decision which one referee considers to a red, and another considers to be a yellow, is unlikely to be affected by VAR. VAR is meant to correct the clear and obvious errors. Not to introduce exact uniformity across all referees. As for this incident, from the very few replays BT showed, it did look like a red for me.
But but but Berty was sent off by var, after they scored wasn't he. So it was like double jeopardy. Am I remembering that right? Felt like the ref missed it?
You are remembering it right. Worst red card decision of the season has to be the Spuds player at Chelsea.
Yeah that's the one. Think that was when they said they didn't get the right angle until 10 minutes later
Seems like a good time to point out that had VAR done its job at Villa Park then Sheffield United would be 6th right now. Imagine if they miss out on Europe by a point.
Bad week for Wolves. Probably their CL hopes over. In fact, they need to be careful about just holding onto a EL place. Makes it difficult for us to catch Sheff Utd now.
Win tomorrow and it's only 5points off. We have to play them final game too. Could be building for a huge game.
But with a much weaker GD, and an away trip to Man Utd to follow. Not saying it's impossible, it's absolutely not, but it'll be very difficult now.
Yep. But they didn't expect it, like the rest of us. But they should have been concentrating. Could have avoided the controversy.
