Freeloading ****. Anyone who signed up for that claiming they didn’t know what it was, was a lying twat.
I ****ing hated all that bollocks tbh. Swerved the entire thing, as I never sign for anything that I haven’t understood and agreed to. I thought the bigger scam was those companies chasing the dough back, making false claims on behalf of their clients about the circumstances around the acceptance of the loan terms. But that’s just me.
I'm surprised the car finance companies have not had to repay yet, unless they have, but I can never remember them being mentioned. The finance companies used to sell PPI with their loan agreements, I was even offered it myself many years ago and refused. A lot of the errors that were made, aside from the 'if you sign for this it will help your loan go through' (with banks and building societies) commission based for sellers - was that it was sold to people whose wages were protected for 12 months in the event of sickness, so for example NHS staff, such as doctors and nurses. If you signed up anyone in that category, it was classed as an automatic mis-sell.
Tbf me and Mrs luv were the kind of people who were getting ripped off, sat in an office signing anything they put in front of us swapping a baby back and fore after another night of no sleep, back then I had no clue and understood less when signing up to mortgages or loans.
I knew someone who used to sell mortgages back in the day, he was honest enough to admit to me, he missold it all the time. The problem is once something is performance targeted or commission based by a selling company/bank/etc, then it's going to get misold
Not sure, it's what prompted us to check when they said you couldn't claim anymore after a certain date.
You’ve had a decent touch out of it mate, so it’s all good. Did you know this last lot was coming or have you just had a nice surprise?
Surprise, we didn't know we would get anything was just throwing it out there and got £3000 after fees, were used a firm this time. Just did it ourselves in the past.
Well yes but that's already done so I'll take some fun money out and save the rest. There's a bottle of Cognac I fancy.
