Read this report on Hughton, read it till the end then give your opinion over if you want him. @oneforthebristolcity did mention a lot of this from his Norwich friends http://www.wearebrighton.com/newsopinion/analysing-brighton-sacking-chris-hughton-one-year-on/
John Terry now (well the Kasey Palmer song would gain real meaning!! ) https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp.../bristol-city-manager-odds-terry-18550642.amp

"The football itself had turned from dull-yet-effective to downright boring. At times, you wanted to scratch your eyes out" Can't wait.....thought that's what RR's been moaning about with LJ
Brighton’s style of football One of the major criticisms of Hughton was his style of football. Supporters had become bored of grinding out 1-0 victories, the atmosphere at the Amex was dissipating with each passing home game and if you were brave enough to go away, you knew that you’d be lucky to see a shot on target, let alone a goal. I on occasions attempted to watch Brighton on TV. For a non fan it was tedious. Boring. Lee Johnson was more adventurous in his approaches. In his four-and-a-half years in charge, Hughton gave academy graduates just 18 minutes of league football. Rob Hunt played 17 of those at right back away at Burton Albion in 2016 after Bruno was injured and James Tilley got the other 60 seconds in the 2014-15 end-of-season dead rubber at Middlesbrough. Lee Johnson hardly promoted youth.I would like to see Bristol City's youth development enlarged not become irrelevant. There is a picture here I would not want to see at BCFC.

Just heard SL on talkSPORT talking to Sir Jim White. Here’s the ‘party line’ for those who may have missed it: The decision about LJ was made up before the Cardiff game, and it was practically “do or die” for him. They had contemplated the idea for ‘some time’ but Cardiff was the straw that broke the camels back. SL said we have some “serious applications” for the job and have been inundated with interest. There are some high profile names on the list, but “Bristol City must find the right person that will build on all that LJ has done, and take us to the Premier League, which we want to happen as soon as possible”. He also said that the club, JL and MA are sifting through all the applications, drawing up a shortlist. The club ‘wants to get it right’ and will give the new manager as much time as possible to push on - even if it’s before the end of the current campaign, to enable the best possible opportunities.
High Profile managers will want megabucks to spend on transfers and wages, which despite RedPrintt drivelling on about how much LJ has been given, we are still not in the top echelon of spend in this division. So I can't see a high profile person coming in and accept being given less than LJ had to work with, and someone else making the buying and selling decisions over their head to boot.
