Cos we have no evidence, no news, no nothing* Cos we've had **** all forever, so how does this give us any hope. * before anyone points it out I am fully aware I have committed one of my own pet hates here, ie a double negative, and "no nothing" does actually mean something.
I wish someone would prove what we all know. She doesn’t really look remotely upset in the interview either. I am actually quite surprised she is not worried for her own safety?
That struck me as odd too. You would think that any decent human being would show grief when discussing the murder. Not her. She acted like it was immaterial. She only came alive and showed passion when discussing NUFC. It was she was reading from a script and had been conditioned. Very Richard Keysesque.
My only concern at the minute, is the longer this goes on ( it will pass) we are getting left behind with potential new player deals
I'm not sure it will ever pass. There are three things likely to be wrong: PL worried about Saudi links affecting their revenues. PL, Qatar and brown bags. PL's member clubs pushing against the deal. Then you've got an arrogant ****ing jobsworth nobody like Richard Masters sat in the middle. Do they say "yes" and worry about Qatar exposing the dirty laundry, worry about clubs setting up a Euro league and worry about how much the world will pay for TV rights? Or say "no", hide their dirty secrets, appease the clubs and invite a very heavy challenge from both Ashley and KSA? You can see why they're hiding from decisions, trying to just make it go away on its' own. Paul Smith has it right. Their process is pretty basic - their fear is very real. Either way they'll be exposed somehow. Just our luck that we finally get ambitious owners, only for the league itself to collapse.
Or they could now be waiting until the end of this season to see if the Saudi's do crack down on piracy in their region over a period of time albeit a relatively short period rather than just accepting the Saudi's saying they will.
Dunno why the PL would be worried about Saudi links affecting their revenues....certainly not in a negative way anyway. The purchase of NUFC is the perfect opportunity for them to secure a ****-tonne of money for the next 3-5 years for them and their member clubs. As for PL, Qatar and brown bags. Given how ****ing bent the Qatari's are and the whole world cup debacle, I'd be very surprised if they made a fuss about this deal. Even their mouthpiece (Keys) has shut the **** up now. As for your last point, no way in hell. This would leave them open to the biggest scandal and litigation known to man....and could potentially be the end of the PL as we know it. Master has openly come out and said they hope to conclude soon. That to me means that it can't be (and won't) months away, even weeks away. It's a week on since these comments so I'm expecting it to be announced in the next two weeks.....on a Wednesday of course.
There is something very strange going on. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Qatar are trying to bribe the PL.
