Yeah I agree, and also we are now a very attractive option for players looking to make the step to the next level but can’t quite get in their current team. A great manager with a good team, presumably not fighting relegation next year and they’re likely to get a big move after a few seasons if they earn it.
The problem, as I highlighted yesterday, is not including an option in KWP's loan. Consequently, we now have to negotiate with Levy (assuming that we want to keep him). Whether as part of a deal for PEH, or as a standalone deal; Levy will now be involved. And Levy loves nothing more than to screw people right over. Six months ago, he was a squad player who Jose had no interest in, and therefore who Spurs were seemingly happy to offload to whoever. Now he's a player who we (hopefully) are very keen to buy. Levy can work with that.
Yeah this, I’m sure we could’ve got an agreed price in when we loaned him, and probably not all that expensive. Now if we want the deal permanent I fully expect us to be paying Spurs something and giving them Hojbjerg
We’ve been linked with Ollie Watkins of Brentford. I think it’s just prattle because he has a £18m release clause. Ace player though and will be linked with any of the teams below 7th in the league. Here’s a video because he’s great.
As promising as he is, i hope that is just lazy journalism. I'd much rather our entire budget go toward RB, CB & CM. Going forward we have both quality and depth.
Yeah I’m not sure he’s really a legitimate target. I’ve no doubt that most of the league have had a look though so I’m sure there’s some truth to it.
We need to offer him a new one, I can see him being attractive to other clubs with his performances lately.
We got a fair few going into the last 2 years of their contract. Stephens, Ings & JWP spring to mind as well.
I have read somewhere that Ings is being offered a new 4 year deal of which he’s keen to sign, and can’t see our new captain going anywhere soon. And Jack seems to enjoy himself now Charlie doesn’t keep dragging him down the pub.
Agreed but you can say that about all our current keepers. Angus Gunn shouldn't be written off but I dont think he'll get much chance to put things right here.
So according to Neil Lennon Saints had agreed a deal to sell Forster to Celtic but Fraser is not keen. So Celtic didm't turn down the chance to buy at £6m - Fraser has obviously just decided the extra £30k a week is too good to say goodbye to - annoying for both clubs and whilst I personally think he must be so rich that it would make f*ck all difference - it is his right to see out the contract.
Apparently Ajax want Hojbjerg now - seems to be a fair bit of competition for his signature so hopefully we can get a good fee.
Rumour today (from a mate who knows a mate who knows .....) Spuds offering KWP permanent move plus Sessegnon on loan for the season ..... Not a big fan of Sessegnon but it might be a decent move. Discuss .... (as Tom would say )
