Cardiff’s victory today means that the Swans have to beat Wednesday or the season will be over bar the shouting ....

Yes, even 7points behind Cardiff now, Think it is probably out of reach for us now. ....... can't say I am too disappointed, as we are not mature enough as a thinking team. ....... even by a miracle we made it to the Premiere, what sort of team would we be able to assemble with these Yanks in charge ? ........ They would have one thing on their minds, .... and that is making money. ....... So I think we would be better off staying in the Champlionship, where we as Fans would probably enjoy our selves better. Even then we have to wonder what players would we have to represent the club next season, which is not far away.

So when does the new season start? It will have to follow on almost immediately as the Euros are now next summer so next season can't be extended at all.

Virtually straight away I would guess - can’t be more than a month apart?

Given the slower unwinding of Lockdown in Wales, I wonder if we will have the situation where Clubs in England will have fans in their stadia, but not here in Wales?

Swansea City head coach Steve Cooper makes four changes to his starting line-up for the Liberty Stadium cash with Sheffield Wednesday.

You can download a copy of today's teamsheet HERE.

Marc Guehi, Connor Roberts, Jay Fulton and Wayne Routledge all have starting roles against the Owls.

Guehi comes in for the injured Ben Wilmot, while Connor Roberts replaces Ben Cabango as Kyle Naughton moves to centre-half.

Fulton is recalled at the expense of George Byers, while Routledge gets his first start since the resumption of football in place of Yan Dhanda.

On the bench, there is a welcome return for Mike van der Hoorn as the Dutchman appears in a matchday squad for the first time since January.

Freddie Woodman is between the sticks for the hosts, while Roberts, Naughton, Guehi and Jake Bidwell make up the back four.

Fulton teams up with Matt Grimes in midfield, with Andre Ayew, Conor Gallagher and Routledge ahead of them.

On-loan Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster leads the line for the Swans.

Swansea City: Freddie Woodman; Connor Roberts, Kyle Naughton, Marc Guehi, Jake Bidwell; Jay Fulton, Matt Grimes (captain); Wayne Routledge, Conor Gallagher, Wayne Routledge; Rhian Brewster.

Substitutes: Erwin Mulder, Mike van der Hoorn, Ben Cabango, George Byers, Yan Dhanda, Bersant Celina, Nathan Dyer, Aldo Kalulu, Liam Cullen.

Sheffield Wednesday: Joe Wildsmith, Liam Palmer, Kieran Lee, Barry Bannan (captain), Julian Borner, Jacob Murphy, Connor Wickham, Adam Reach, Massimo Luongo, Dominic Iorfa, Alessio Da Cruz.

Substitutes: Cameron Dawson, Jordan Rhodes, Kadeem Harris, Joey Pelupessy, Atdhe Nuhiu, Moses Odubajo, Alex Hunt, Ben Hughes, Liam Shaw.

    Referee: Stephen Martin

The narrative says Ayew is playing but his name is not in the 11 - they’ve named Routs twice<doh>

    Still no start for Celina.
    I'm losing patience with Cooper.

They better put a decent show on today, I’ve stopped doing the garden to watch this. Mrs Never will not be happy when she gets back from work that the new planters won’t be painted. :)

Two wins out of 12 which is a damming indictment of Coopers ability at this level
