I’ve no interest in what others are doing. We’re now ten points and five games away with no contenders to play. If we can’t do it there’s no one only ourselves to blame. Let’s just get that ten points in the bag ASAP. Btw I don’t believe it will take ten anyway
Brentford have been good all season, just didn’t make their superiority count in quite a few games early in the season. Statistically (appreciate football is played on grass not paper) we’re the best side in the league and they’re the next best - and it’s been like that all season. They’re just having a hot streak at the moment.
Compared to the chasing pack you are right but not in absolute terms. In the last five games last year we picked up 4 points.
Well that’s why the wall is there? The ball’s only just been hit, do you really expect him to scramble over to the other side within a tenth of a nanosecond? Standing central negates the whole point of the wall, all goalkeepers stand to one side and let the wall cover the other side. It was just a terrific free kick, I really don’t think there’s any more to it than that tbh.
1-3, well I didn't expect that at all, now Stoke, they had a good win today and still need points to move away from the relegation zone.
Fulham rely on one man, they score very few goals, I was ‘concerned’ about them but never feared they’d win every game meaning we wouldn’t have to. Since the restart I can’t see Brentford losing with there goal advantage if we lose two they pip us.
Well I've just compared last season to this season... and Norwich & Sheff Utd definitely don't get promoted
Jammy, please accept this post as a metaphorical slap round the chops. You’re the urbane, cynical realist on here who takes the piss out of the rest of the querulous faithful, so pull yourself together man. Brentford will not win all 5 remaining games, and Leeds will go up automatically. Bloody snowflakes.
That was another reason it felt better before the break, Fulham had to play Brentford and WBA and ourselves. I cheered Brentford on against Fulham how I wish that had been a draw now
I suspect somebody has posted this already but the three games we each have against Derby are going to be telling.
"A man of an angel's wit and singular learning. I know not his fellow. For where is the man of that gentleness, lowliness and affability? And, as time requireth, a man of marvelous mirth and pastimes, and sometime of as sad gravity. A man for all seasons."
