They'll only lose 12 points this season if they finish above the bottom three.

They are on 50 points now whereas Stoke in 22nd place are on 43. I can't see them dropping into the bottom three.

If they finish in the bottom 3 on their own then we're in a pretty good position to be one of the teams to go above them.

It's all a bit circular and academic.

Nobody goes into city centre nowadays, not many shops. The tumbleweed blowing along ferensway, is like a scene from a John Ford movie.

Its a worrying time for Hull City Centre. The CoC has hardly kicked started the economy as was hoped and if anything it's had the opposite effect.
When the quality shops move out so do the people who have the readies to spend in them.
I can see the new Hammonds food court dying on its arse too ( if it ever opens) Town cannot support Trinity Market food hall and this new one so one will go.
Its not a problem just confined to Hull either.
The tinternet and the obsession to move everything, including service industries, to out of town shopping complexes doesn't help, along with the free parking they offer.
I only go in town now before City or for a drink in the old town. Cannot remember the last time I bought anything except beer or sausage rolls in the city centre.

Fair enough if you are privy to info on the struggles of trinity market. But it's always been rammed when I was in there pre lockdown. Queues for the Greek place could be loooong. And rightly so as their food is spot on.

You make some valid points mind.

Given the results today a point will be a great result tomorrow. Just got to keep some distance between us and the bottom. We can make it with a bit of luck.

Not just Hull the Country we are heading for the type of recession that will make the last one seem like a slight blip.
A few young people going out today flexing and girls wearing undersized mini skirts wont change anything.
Wear your hard hats and if you have a safe job be thankful.

we'll struggle to get anything out of our next two games. In fact I think that only Luton and Wigan are matches in which we can realistically get a win and I think the odds are against getting draws in each of the other matches.

I’m not so sure about not being able to keep Hammonds and Trinity going. Obviously pre lockdown but I’ve popped in Trinity a few times for lunch during the week and it’s always been busy.
If Hammonds can pull it off then it can pick up trade from people working over that side of the City and people arriving on trains etc.
    Hope so anyway

I really don't know how I feel about us staying up. Would I be happy with having to go through this again next season? We'll have an even smaller budget, probably the smallest in the Championship (even if the likes of Fleetwood or Oxford were to come up), so would we have enough to be comfortably mid table? Probably not.

If we went down, we've got the core of a squad already in place to challenge at the top of the league, though it's not a given as we've seen with the likes of Portsmouth and Sunderland in recent years. But we'd win a lot more and there'd be more of a feel good factor around the club.

Unlikely, they lost their home leg 4-1 last night to Wycombe.

True, but having seen Northampton in the League 2 playoffs, anything is possible.

Things are looking very bleak after last night. Same old same old from Grant. We need another two wins and it’s hard to see this team achieving that. This coaching team must have some blame attached. They seem incapable of changing a plan and we are turning into a cul de sac marked L1.

I'm not sure 2 wins will be enough.

I'm not sure two wins are achievable. We played with passion for about 15 minutes last night, that's not going to be enough in any of the remaining four games.

If Terry can’t get the players to play with passion, spirit and fight then he is in the wrong job, which in my opinion he Is anyway. Whatever a players failings in technique or ability or even fitness there is no excuse for not giving it all for 90 mins. There should be nothing left in the tank. Any manager who accepts a level of performance that is not the best a player can give should not be in management. The fact is players can easily be disheartened with **** selections, poor team management and crap formations. That is more likely what we have here.

It will be better than losing four.
