Oxford, the team supported by Stuart Donald? I would rather Fleetwood were promoted than have Donald given any joy from this season. With the choice of the four teams involved it is a case of the least worst option. I've already stated my case against Oxford. No way do I want to see Wycombe go up after them voting to end the season and I'd rather go blind than see Fleetwood go up. That leaves me with only one team left and, unpalatable though it be, I am left wanting Portsmouth to go up. The only hint of any silver lining to that cloud is, as you say, not having to play them next season.
No lover of Oxford but pleased they've put Pompey out....Play up Pompey.. Pompey play up...has to be the worst chant in football.
Personally want to see Wycombe get promoted just to show how farcical the PPG finish was when the 8th placed team are promoted.
EFL ****ed up not fault of Wycombe guess we would have took it if it been us sneaking into the play offs
The best team lost, it was typical division one fare, the Chair boys are well organised, determined and defend well, and play no football, this is the team with one of the lowest budgets in the division, you have to hand it to the manager, he has done a fine job at this level. Having said that I doubt they will enjoy next season, if Ainsworth can keep them up it will be a miracle, they got all the breaks tonight, they wont get it so easy next season thats for sure.
he could have came here before Parky, i thought Wycombe had blew it in March but the ppg rule was in their favour, but Peterbororough would have went up, now we face pompey, Oxford and Peterboro again next season as well as Ipswich and most likely Wigan, who should walk this division next season.
