It’s called Surf now Not been in though EDIT - actually I’m questioning myself now. I might have been in
Back in the seventies I was an apprentice at aerospace at brough . There were 5000 worked there then and there was a stag night pretty much every other week .we used to meet in the city hotel onwards to sailmakers-ye olde black boy-durty nellies-Manchester arms-then snapps bar if I remember right. By then I was so out of it I rarely remembered much of the rest of the night.
Same here mate, massive stag nights with lads spread across several pubs, usually included Earl De Grey and often included a mass sing song in the back of Blue Bell lead by a nutter called Armo! Lads on plant would make the stag a large appendix to where and once even made a sedan chair and carried the groom around old town in it. Legendary stag nights those.
One of my last nights in the UK before emigrating in1975 included a crawl of the pubs in the old town with my cousin. Four years later on a return visit, my cousin and I did it again this time with our new wives. Happy days. I must add, yesterday was our 41st wedding anniversary.
