    I was pleased with the 4-0 thrashing City gave Liverpool - a foretaste of next season.

    Without doubt Liverpool should be applauded for what they have achieved but I think this result underscores than City have had a bad season in the league by their own standards yet are still the best footballing team. They will not let Liverpool retain the title next season and the league will be more competitive as United seem to be getting their thing together.

    I will probably have to watch Sunday's match through the cracks in my fingers. Given our home record, I have not expectations against City.
