Another agreement here, he has a hell of a shot on him as well. He could easily have had 5 goals this season at least... Needs one to go in and then he'll start banging them in regularly hopefully
Such a strange season. Some of the most disappointing of home results experienced, and a whole raft of great choices for away performances. I really do hope it levels out next term. Its not healthy going from such lows to great highs.
Indubitably. But looking back to some of those defeats at the start, well, we just have to learn from that. We cannot risk another season being so inept at home.
I'm optimistically hoping that our home form will improve rather than the away form deteriorating the longer that Ralph is here. He has to find a way of getting the players to be braver and speed up the play at SMS I believe.
Yeah, and a couple new additions to the first team will make a big difference. We have been handicapped by our choices. No sentiments this summer. (wow, that sounds weird, what summer!)
Even the home performances are still lightyears away from the Pellegrino days. *shudders* Id rather us lose on the front foot like we do at the mo, than bore everyone to death with no idea what to do like under MP
I think that Moussa is going to improve home form for us, he has the unpredictability factor about him and he is super quick too!
Those two positions are surely his priority targets for incoming players as we currently only have 3 senior CBs and Pierre looks certain to be on his way.
I cannot wait for this match, We can completely play without fear! We know man city will come at us so we have so great opportunitys to steal the ball and counter. What ever the result I feel man city are going to be in for a tough game.
I was at the Emptihad that night of the 98th minute goal and the team were fabulous that night. Could have scored 3-4
I`m still miffed about Jesus scoring the only goal at SMS in the fourth minute of three minutes added time a couple of seasons ago. That allowed them to get 100 points or something, and had the press banging on about it for ages.
That was under Mark Hughes wasn’t it? We deserved a point that day. I still think Mark Hughes wasn’t a bad manager for us. Wouldn’t swap anyone for Ralph though right now. Just hope we give him the tools to do a job next season.
At the end of the day Hughes did what he was paid to do and keep us up. Ralph is in a completely different class though.
Indeed 3 senior CBs, one of whom strikes more fear into Saints fans than opposition attacks (Yes, he was ok v Watford) Not enough goals in the midfield, Danny can't do it all alone, Stu only gets a few, Redders needs shooting practice and Prowsey can't do it from open play This has been true for a long time now, who was our last midfielder who scored a few? Ralph gets as good as he's going to get from this squad at times, we need more quality as well I think there's plenty of pressure on them for this game, they won't want to get tonked It's us who can sit back watching it on telly, beer in one hand, kebab in the other, with our best girl beside us and our faithful hound warming our feet, happy in the knowledge that we're going to lose and that's that Or something like that
