Any hopes we have of LJ getting the boot are minniscule, we all know SL thinks he walks on water, especially when LJ quivers that lower lip and is honest with the fans.

    5 from 33.

This kind of stat seems to haunt LJ every season and happens to much to be coincidence.
Get used to it guys, SL is blind to his box entry bullshit.

Apparently, according to some posts, the performance was better (but from your comment above RR it wasn't).
Anyway, I've had enough now. I didn't pay my £10 and I had even managed to forget that the game was on until I got pinged the result at full-time.
I want LJ gone now - for his sake as well as for the club. I've no idea what has gone wrong - people are making up their own 'facts' and posting them online - which I take with a pinch of salt, but something is definitely wrong and it has to change.

When you start taking RR statements as a basis for your opinion then I think its time to take a hard look at yourself

I quoted RR to balance against other posts which commented that the performance was better.
I don't base my opinions on anyone else's. I have always looked at the League Table as the basis for whether a manager should go or not - hence my support for LJ when we were in touching distance of the playoffs despite the run of poor performances and results. However we are fading fast and I can't see how this can be sustained. I'm not SCREAMING for LJ to be replaced - if he stays then so be it, but I do think it's probably time for a change if we are to reignite our season given the few remaining games we have left.

Well, seems like I'm on my own....but I have been told I'm original!!......I would still give him next season, which would give SL time to influence (bribe) a decent coach to come in if things haven't improved.......I've always said, of course it is our goal to reach the Prem and so it should be, but for me it's not the bee all to end up getting tanked every game (See Norwich)... The disappointment this season is the performances or lack of.....Like one of you said previously, wasn't long ago that we were playing fast slick football....that has seemed to have vanished for whatever reason.....I think LJ switched to trying to grind results out, but it's not worked..
Seems to me he's committed to the cause, still has the passion for the club.... Fan's pressure in the end will prevail..(fickle bunch <laugh>)!!!

We did play better and there were a lot of positives, but the main problem still persists, we did not create a viable chance yet again and even if we had had a free kick in the same area as Forest's goal it would have ended up in the river Trent. The difference between us and Forest is when they play poorly they have players who work a little bit of magic, we do not.

It's all about midfield and always has been since Johnson arrived and he has only just realised that.

If you look at the peak being the Man Utd game that was December 2017. By Feb 2018 Mr Johnson had very clearly moved away from that football.

The reason is it was Mr Johnson's choice.

Mr Johnson also stated in 2017 he wanted to establish a playing identity throughout the club integrating players from the academy into the Bristol City way. Academy teams started playing with an approach .. The first team quickly abandoned.

The player pathway is failing. There is no Bristol City identity. There can be no cohesive identity throughout the club. Its a failure.

The reason is … Mr Johnson is not up to the task despite time and considerable resources being put at his disposal.

    Respect to you 1for!
As I said, I'm not actually screaming for a change, but I do think the time has come to look at other options. As for fan pressure; I can't see SL making decisions based on a bunch of noisy fans who wanted him out from the start as soon as he was appointed - just like the boy who cried wolf; the moaning about LJ is simply just 'noise' that is part of the setup and culture at Ashton Gate!!! Sl will take decisions based upon what he believes is best for Bristol Sport PLC and the financial health of his empire. That's not a criticism of SL by the way - if he threw caution to the wind he'd very soon end up losing his fortune and we'd be looking at a FFP punishment.
I have however, become lethargic towards this season - partly due to the lockdown and partly deliberately - as a sort of 'self-preservation' mindset, so that I don't become frantic with rage and frustration as we inevitably fall away from the playoff zone yet again, just as the season is coming to a close.

Like I said, I would give him one more season to put it right.....Unless Mr Lansdown has some top notch coach that can be pulled away from current employment that would want to come here....as it stands I don't know of any decent ones looking for that post right now..

Mr Johnson stated in 2016 it would take him three transfer windows to get the team to where he wants it to be. He given his frequent admonishing of his team, his players and its performance has failed.

In regards to the development of the academy and player pathway Mr Johnson's performance has been abysmal. In the past I have defended the need for the academy and its role in a modern Bristol City. If Mr Johnson stays at Bristol City it should be shut down. He has no intention of utilising it in the manner he stated he would in 2016/17.

Mr Johnson was not appointed as a top notch coach. He is is not developing players, that is coaching. He is a Manager now of some experience with nil promotions behind him and failing to meet his own stated standards. Mediocre can do that.

The club needs a re-set from Mr Johnson. The club needs to set its priorities. Priorities that have been lost under Mr Johnson's watch. Those priorities would define the next appointment and the FC's direction.

You and I have had our blows regarding Academies, IMO it's a way forward once you've established yourselves in top flight, otherwise it's just to sell players on...It's my opinion and not worth going into depths again......
LJ, under his management has over achieved in the transfer market for this club which in my opinion has cost us the performances and achievements we could have had....again my opinion (you won't change it). Losing best players normally achieves nothing......
Not sure there are many clubs that have achieved promotion from the championship using mainly players straight from the academy..

watched Derby last night. Cocus been there a quarter of the time Johnson has been here. yes hes got Rooney but Cocus got kids playing it out from the back and looking confident and comfortable. City have internationals who all season have struggled to pass the ball well. Coaching here???

I watched part of that game. It was certainly thought provoking in regards to City. Derby had five players from their academy starting. FIVE.

And if they don't go up, they are likely to sell them on..And so then back to square one with a different squad..
