I was never a huge fan of roofe, but he was played out of position for most of his time at Leeds. Like many, he blossomed under bielsa though his strike rate/ xg etc were pretty similar to bamford’s last year. It’s possible they thought he was ok for the champ but not for the Prem and didn’t want him on a long contract - but we were skint at the time of his contract discussions so I guess the hard cash for him and jansson and BPF was financially helpful to fund loan deals, manage ffp etc for what Many feel was both radz and bielsa’s last throw at promotion.

Since when was Nketiah unfit? He started Cup games.

I just don't think that Nketiah (and Izzy Brown for that purpose) were Bielsa's choices, and as such have been alienated by him. From memory Nketiah scored 5 goals for England during the International break, and having watched one of the games, his pace was lightening, and he had no problems running for 90 minutes.

Izzy Brown was fit in February, and played a dozen games for the U23's. He remained benched whilst players like Hernandez were clearly showing signs of burn out.

I've noticed there's doesn't seem to be much criticism of Ben White since yesterday.

Having watched countless replays of the goal conceded it really was shocking defending on his part. It's difficult to explain what he was thinking as he forces the Luton striker out wide onto his left foot and then allows him to shoot with his right without trying to get a block in.

Hopefully the Liverpool and Man City scouts were watching is all I can say.

Same against Cardiff he did not try to block the shot. Seems Mr white is a bit hesitant has he been approached about a potential move.

Took in a quick look at the Wendies v Baggies game. They've got crowdies down there! They must be really impressed. There must be at least 6 rows of them in a stand!

    Oh, and it's 2-0 now, sadly. :(

I’ve said this before. He’s a cracking footballer but has a lot to learn defensively. He’s cost us quite a few goals this season - cardiff home and away spring to mind. Still very young for a central defender and it’s a position where experience counts for a lot.

Sadly i do not have enough years left to toughen him up. I can see a fine career ahead of White but not at central defender.
