Hard to see anything other than a defeat tonight, probably by 2 goals, then again, we will probably win this one, it's such a strange league this year for unexpected results.

Yea this is the exact sort of match we would win, while probably playing sh*te.

So make it a 5-0 loss.

Benik Afobe says positivity is key as City prepare for a midweek trip to fellow play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side currently occupy fourth spot in the Sky Bet Championship table and the Robins know a win at the City Ground keeps the pressure on, with so many teams joining Lee Johnson’s men in competing for the top six.
Afobe has been building the minutes on his return from long-term injury, and recognises that while City’s return to football has not gone to plan so far, everyone has to keep the belief in order to build momentum and turn fortunes on the pitch.
He said: “We still have seven games, 21 points to play for, and anyone can beat anyone in this league, so we keep going for it.
“It’s a quick turnaround and we have Forest away who are ahead of us on Wednesday (July 1st, 6pm KO) so hopefully we’ll do all we can and take points off them.”
The forward was speaking to Robins TV following Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday and Afobe says there is little time to get caught up in the emotions of defeat.
“Win, lose or draw you have to forget about the game and concentrate on the next one which is Forest,” he said. “We have to focus on getting three points off them because they are in the play-offs and that is where we want to be.
“Positivity is the key. Without that or self-belief we won’t get anywhere. We have to keep going, enjoy our football and play with a smile on our face and enjoy it. It’s about the three points but we have seven games and we’ll go again.”

Pedro Pereira is set for a spell on the sidelines having suffered a thigh injury at Blackburn Rovers.
The right-back was withdrawn at half-time of the Sky Bet Championship fixture, with Lee Johnson confirming scan results show Pereira to have a five centimetre tear in his thigh muscle.
Pereira is expected to be out of action for up to four weeks.

A Wednesday night trip to the City Ground awaits Lee Johnson's men, where they will take on fellow play-off hopefuls Nottingham Forest.
City head for the East Midlands in the search of their first three points since the season resumed, with the table becoming very congested as a number of team find themselves in the hunt for a top six spot.
As for Forest, Sabri Lamouchi's side currently sit fifth in the Sky Bet Championship standings following Tuesday night's round of fixtures,
It was a 3-1 win for Forest at the weekend when they dispatched Huddersfield Town, after they were denied victory through a late Sheffield Wednesday equaliser one week earlier.
Lamouchi has been praised for tightening up the defensive side to their game, and it's shown in away results of which they have lost only three times on the road in the league this season. The club's owners have been impressed as much to offer him a new undisclosed-length contract, which was signed just before football resumed last month.
This evening's fixture is available free on Robins TV (the stream starts one hour ahead of kick-off with all the build-up, analysis, and post-match comments) to Season Card holders. Non-Season Card holders can purchase a one-off £10 stream pass to enjoy the game with all the same benefits.

It will never happen even if we lose all the games. The bottom clubs play each other. So stop being doom and gloom Dimlow.

I’m more concerned with O’Dowda still in the starting line up let alone the squad

Firstly let me say that was a very good performance.

Our keepers only had one save to make Bentley early on after coming on, the defence played well. Vyner does look a talent but was far too easily turned on 3 occasions in the 2nd half.

Williams is a complete idiot, he was playing well but we needed all 11 players on the field.

The midfield looked much better, Smith especially looked good for the whole 90 minutes, Nagy was exceptional for an hour but ran out of juice.

ODowda put in a lot of effort but his crossing was poor, he hit the first defender too often and then over hit several crosses as well, Weimann ran around a lot as usual but IMHO doesn’t bring enough to the party and the giving away of the free kick leading to the goal was needless, especially having been booked.

Wells and Afobe huffed and puffed but to be honest we never really created a viable chance, it was all half chances.

Although we had a lot of possession, we rarely looked like we would carve out a real chance, our play up to their box was really good, even slick at times, but it was the same old story, we lack a player who can unlock defences in and around their penalty box and we run out of ideas. Forest look like a team on the up, well organised and put away their only free kick in a dangerous area, it is a skill gaining a result when you are not playing well.

So, far better but still not looking like a team that is going to create enough viable chances.

We certainly played better but it's still yet another defeat and still the Manager is saying we'll win the next 5.

When people think that's good performance it shows how low standards are. Forest had to do little to win the game. easy ride.
