A thread dedicated to players we get linked with by rumours or the press or even players you like that is available and could be a great signing for us.

Armand Gnaduillet, who has just been released from Blackpool, has been mentioned a few times from some gasheads on another forum. He is 28 and scored 18 goals in 36 games this season, in all competitions. Not bad at all. Could be a back up for JCH.

And another Coventry player Reise Allassani who has been released has been mentioned that we could be interested. Left wing and could play striker too. Was out on loan recently at Dulwich Hamlet following an injury blow at Coventry. He did very well while out on loan but as Coventry have been promoted to the Championship now, they no longer require his service. He is just 24 and has bags of potential to grow and would fit the type of player Garner wants.

We've been linked with 23 year old Portsmouth LB Bradon Haunstrup. https://the72.co.uk/174169/portsmou...nder-over-new-deal-amid-bristol-rovers-links/

According to a report from The News, Portsmouth are in talks with out of contract defender Bradon Haunstrup over a new deal, amid links with Bristol Rovers.

Haunstrup’s contract with Portsmouth runs out later this month, with an agreement on an extension yet to be confirmed. Now, an update on Haunstrup’s situation has emerged. The News has claimed that “the door is being left open” for Haunstrup to extend his stay at the club.

Portsmouth are said to be in talks over a new contract, with his future hinging on the immediate future of loan man Steve Seddon. Seddon is reportedly wanted on a permanent deal by Portsmouth after a successful loan spell away from Birmingham City.

Haunstrup, has been with Portsmouth for his entire career to date – excluding a brief loan spell with Sutton United. In total, the defender has played in 57 games across all competitions, scoring one goal and laying on five assists along the way.

With his contract set to expire soon, it awaits to be seen how Haunstrup’s situation conspires. Portsmouth are keen to keep Seddon permanently but with Pompey entering talks over a new deal for Haunstrup, it will be interesting to see how the club’s left-back situation pans out.

According to Bristol Live Rovers are on the verge of making their first signing. Josh grant a 21 year old who spent last season at Plymouth, he made 30 appearances in his 2 loan spells and was part of the Plymouth promotion side He has been capped at U18 s and U20s level for England. Chelsea could be due compensation because of his age but they seem to think it will not be great amount. He failed to agree a contract with Argyle

Is a CB but mainly played as a DM for Plymouth where he impressed and can also play RB so pretty versatile. Also last season was his first full season so he still has a lot to learn and can only improve.

According to Bristol Live Rovers are close to signing Max Ehmer and Jack Baldwin From Gillingham and Sunderland respectively. Both are CBs and free transfers

Rovers, Swindon and Salford City are front runners to sign George Thomas who has been released by Leicester City

Gillingham fans not happy that Ehmer is leaving and possibly joining a club that finished 4 places below them in the league

According to Bristol Rovers twitter we have beaten Shrewsbury to the signing of Jake Doyle-Hayes who is being released by Aston Villa

We are apparently announcing the signing of Max Ehmer on Wednesday according to the above site.

We are also leading the chase for Aldershot's Ethan Chislett but there is interest from other league 1 and 2 clubs

Sadly our fans need dragging into reality. The season finished 11 games short of the season, so virtually a quarter of a season match day revenue lost, and all the marketing that goes with that. While still paying wage bills.

Steve Evans came into us along with a renewed energy that saw us finish not too far short of the play-offs, that will all have cost money, that we had no return on.

Then what about the new season, you can't even market something, when you can't guarantee what extent of measures are going to be in place.

I've said prior to the Ehmer news, we need to get players off the wage bill, regardless of their quality. I'd rather face the threat of relegation than my club going under, you've got to budget accordingly, and if we do happen to remain in L1 at the end of the next season, then it's long term win, win.

Problem is with modern football, some fans are not used to having to get real.

Unfortunately money is going to be a major factor in the signing of players in the lower leagues who are part of the real world, Sunderland could I believe notice the difference with their parachute money coming to and end. Some players also might find that their bargaining position could be weakened as well. I hope BRB that relegation doesn't happen to you or us as we to seem to be losing some of our higher paid players.

With our new boss looking for young up and coming players I think it is going to be an interesting season, but like you and many others we will still be cheering on the teams we follow come rain or shine / success or failure survival for many clubs could the successful conclusion to the 2020 / 2021 season.

Hopefully we as supporters will soon be allowed in when it is deemed safe to exercise our vocal chords in support of the teams we follow

We all have to do what we have to do to survive. I think pretty much 90% of L1 and L2 teams will be doing the same. Could be record numbers of players looking for new clubs. Players will have to understand that if they want to continue to play then they need to change too with reduce wages because clubs won't be able to afford them.
Financially, we are in a great position now. But no matter how much money we have, we still got to abide by the FFP rules and based on this covid19 situation, I am not sure how clubs can keep to the FFP. It's going to be an interesting summer and next season will be put all clubs on a level playing field.

Ollie will be stupid to drop a level. But that's what Coughlan did.
