Good Morning. It's Monday 29th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Devastating second half display destroys Fulham Leeds returned to the top of the Championship in style with a convincing 3-0 victory over fellow promotion hopefuls Fulham. Things could have been a lot different for the West London Club had Scott Parkers men taken their opportunities in the first half. The Cottagers were largely dominant for the first 45 minutes with Leeds on the back foot for the first time this season. Bielsa's men were having to face a dose of their own medicine having put so many teams under the cosh with wave after wave of strategic attacks on goal. Not only did the Whites batten down the hatches, but they actually took and maintained a half time lead. Costa broke free on the right wing, and squared the ball to Bamford on the edge of the 18 yard box. The former Chelsea recruit drilled the ball past the helpless Rodak. The gaffer decided to make two changes at the break, bringing on Alioski and Hernandez for Bamford and Costa. Instantly the tide had changed, the silky smooth skills of Hernandez and energy levels of Alioski, Leeds slowly began to dominate. Alioski doubled the lead ten minutes after the break when Harrison broke free down the right wing. The on loan Citeh winger cut the ball back through a crowded penalty area where the Macedonian International took a touch before finding the right side corner of the net. Harrison went from Supplier to goal scorer for Leeds third. A sublime flick from master magician Hernandez sent Harrison on his way, and although the 23yo had both a defender and keeper to contend with, was able to to poke the ball hope from an acute angle. Bielsa post match press conference The gaffer spoke of his delight with the second half performance at the weekend, expressing how important the three points are. Mitrovic faces fan for elbow on White Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic was lucky to escape a red card after a shocking elbow on Ben White after just 90 seconds. Fortunately for Fulham, referee Tony Harrington did not see the incident, otherwise they would have had to play almost the entire match without the divisions top scorer and ten men. Mitrovic needlessly elbowed Ben White in the face sending the Brighton loanee sprawling on the floor in agony Regarding incidents of this kind where the referee has missed the action, the FA /EFL are permitted to take retrospective action against the Serbian International. Morning all... The ref could have seen it and gave a yellow, we still won and as the ref never saw it then a definite 3 game ban you’d imagine. After the opening two games you can’t help feel Fulham are shot, just Brentford to worry about? Things must be looking up for us, initially I just wanted promotion, now I want to go up as champs
Morning all. Great weekends work. Im loving the two games a week now that we are the pace setters sprinting towards the winning post rather than the also rans huffing and puffing in fourth or fifth. Maybe the three month lay off will have even benefitted our wizard Pablo, giving him time to recharge the batteries
Morning Leeds United fans everywhere ! What a great day to be a Leeds fan !! Must admit I was ****ting myself at half time, but no need to be. In Bielsa we trust and I will never doubt him again, awesome performance in the second half. To be honest I was surprised at how dirty Fulham were as a team. Mitrovic (or Mitrobitch as my son calls him) is surely nailed on for AT LEAST a three match ban, could well be more and he deserves it. That's Fulham done and it's now a three horse race for autos. We cannot afford to be complacent against Luton tomorrow, they are a team in form and fighting for their lives.
Well how many times have we dominated games and gone on to lose. The shoe was on the other foot on Saturday, and who says Bielsa has no plan B?
Good Morning to Matt and co from a cold wet Bardsey Well it certainly looks like Villa will be playing in the first division next season which i think is very fittingthey are now moaning about having to play 4 gamesin a short time poor thingsI got b oth results rightnlast weekend WBA and Leedsand I must say WBA are up for the takingand they have to play Fulham giving Brentford the chance to catch up Bamford made is goal look easy so well done to him but again he was lucky not to concede a penalty with his clumsy challenge
Brentford are away at Reading tomorrow KO 6pm. So we should have fair idea of the outcome before we kick of against Luton at 7-45pm. With the only place to watch our game being on LUTV the big question is will they be able to cope with the massive demand ???? My advice to anyone wanting to register/subscribe and pay the £10 to watch the game is to do so today.
That pass by Pablo was sublime, where will we (eventually) find another Pablo ? Mitro looks set for a 3 match ban and looking at how much Fulham rely on him you'd have to say they're busted now.
It's of course your prerogative to give Luton £10 instead of the club you support. More to the point is, will there be streams posted which directly cost the club money ? In these circumstances I don't think there should be as the match is available to all via LUTV...just my opinion
Because the iFollow channel regularly takes away team broadcasts. Will work better probably as will be a far smaller demand on it
Luton won't be getting anything, its on iFollow. Anyway as Ive posted elsewhere, in last two weeks there's been two jerseys and a Crowdie bought in my house so Ive done my bit and I have an LUTV subscription for years which Ive never stopped even though I get no benefit. Overseas fans sometimes spend more than "locals"
Sorry but how else are we suppposed to generate income with no fans allowed to attend ? My view is as a fan it's your duty to pay the £10/£5 to support the club through these times. The fact you've spent money on other things is pleasing and laudable but it doesn't excuse taking something from the club for free when they wish to charge for it.
We've played all our games in London We've played our 4 games v bogie sides Cardiff & Sheff Wed. We've played all our games v the top six We have four of the bottom seven to play all at ER I wouldn't swop our run-in of games with anyone We're going up this time folks, no worries!
It appears I misunderstood as I thought you were joking about using the ifollow sevice. Obviously that's your choice, even if it's strange one as Leeds don't receive any of the ifollow income having opted out.
It's still a bit early to get out the bunting 1964. Let's see where we are after the next 2 rounds of matches as I see 2 wins and 6 points for Brentford. We'll need to match that or at least take 4 points to keep them at arms length.
Did you miss the bit where I have an LUTV subscription for years. Don't use it as it always let me down but never cancelled it. Not sure how much more us foreign fans should be expected to fork out before its acceptable to be honest
Your LUTV subscription gives you match day live audio for 99p a week. Maybe you like to listen to the commentary whilst watching an illegal stream
