Yes Hudders are right down there in the mix with us. A very rapid decline after their exit from the PL. No doubt their screechers are wetting their pants and telling Danny Cowley where he got it wrong.
Birminghams managers comment after the game.... 'at half time we were dead and buried, but not buried deep enough'....
After this seasons debacle of mismanagement I doubt wether McCann will ever be hired again by a League club (maybe non-League?). The Middlesboro match up will be Men v boys on the sidelines. Early prediction 3-0 Warnock !!!!
I, for one, have never wanted City to lose or be relegated (although I would wish our owners any and all ill under the sun). However a combination of Ehabs and McCanns dubious skills appear to be taking us in a downwards direction.
To be fair to Terry we had just let 2 goals in and something needed changing. Since half time we had not been in it at all. Plus don't forget he has 7 subs available but on 3 occasions only and this was only the second game back, and the first start for Leo, and McGuinnes, so they were likely tired. He cant be on the pitch, and it was simply bad marking for their 3rd.
It was simply bad/awful/shocking marking from crosses for all three goals, not just the third. Terry must be Christopher Lee's lovechild or something.
I watched it at work, perfect HD stream, no buffering at all. You are still using that app that I told you about aren’t you?
13 winless league matches in a row. 3 points from an available 39 ! He's had since early Jan to analyse where the problems lie. He should know what tactical changes to make (formation, players in those formations, reading oppositions tactical changes and have counter strategies to combat them. He may have lost our 2 most effective larkers at the end of the winter transfer window. It's almost as though he's throwing random, poorly thought out "fixes" at problems he doesn't even recognize. The players must be as confused as hell - there is no plan. Why be fair to Terry if his team loses a 2 goal lead ? His half-time instructions (2nd half game plan) clearly wasn't taken on board by the players that came back on at the start of the second half. They have no faith in him. 3 points out of a possible 39. He has to be responsible for all of that. Had we managed to glean just half of those 36 lost points we'd now be sitting in joint 6th. A disastrous downward spiral. To be fair on GM is not even a consideration.
-> It's almost as though he's throwing random, poorly thought out "fixes" at problems he doesn't even recognize. The players must be as confused as hell - there is no plan. Eh? It's the unchanging plan that's a big part of the problem!! -> Hanging onto a one goal in the last ten. You bring on taffazoli and go five at the back. Duh Now that would be logical. But it would mean changing the plan that can't be changed even though it isn't working. -> A disastrous downward spiral. To be fair on GM is not even a consideration. Agreed.
I do think he had to change things because we were getting over run, Birmingham lifted their game, pushed up on us and didn't give us the time with the ball that we had in the first half. The one big fault was taking more notice of the problems Birmingham were causing us down our right side and changing either personnel or tactics which was very poor because if he had we would have won. In fact when they got back to 2.2 I thought we were going to lose it.
At 2-0 up I’d have adopted a defensive strategy. How often have we been 2-0 up in the last 13 games? I’d have thrown on KLP and just tried to hit them on the counter with his pace. Win ugly, but don’t throw away a 2 goal lead. We may not see another 2 goal cushion this season.
On Facebook someone mentioned that Ehab insists on 4-3-3 all through the club as the ‘Hull City way’. Any truth in this? No wonder McCann rarely changes to a Plan B. Perhaps it’s been forbidden.
