No, Jonny, Hitler saved our arses by declaring war on the USA. If he had kept his big mouth shut the yanks would probably not have entered the war and the UK would continue to struggle. However, the allies did win but that was the last time the yanks 'won' anything. Haven't had a decision go their way since 1945. Korea - stale mate, Vietnam - Loss, Afghanistan - decision pending after what? forty years, Iraq - No win there, Syria - WTF or, if you like, WhoTF. Oh, there was a small victory in Grenada.
Here's how some black people, and the fake news believe in so called black lives matter. Yep, just like Antifa, this is how the Socialist Marxist Communist BLM support black lives matter.
I think this would be closer to the point. The graph lower down the page says it all.......You can times the amount given to the EU yearly by how many years you want (after Brexit) to see the vast amount of savings to the UK. By the way Eccers, Davy, Blackjock......an expected cost of Brexit is a guess, or an assumption/presumption, not the actual figure. However, if it did cost 203bn to leave the EU, it will be money well spent as we have around 100 or more trade deals agreed to, or impending. That's around 100 we couldn't have due to the dictatorship of the corrupt EU politicians. https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/gove...les/theukcontributiontotheeubudget/2017-10-31
To be fair (appreciate we don’t major on fairness round here) there was a reluctance domestically in the US to get involved in another major war thousands of miles away, and a significant number of German immigrants in the US. So we have much to thank Roosevelt for. Naturally, we have the Japanese to thank for pearl harbour and Roosevelt was pretty smart in then declaring war on japan only - to prompt hitler to declare war on the US rather than the other way round. He played public opinion well.. but it’s semantics. The US had done plenty to provoke Japan and were practically at war with Germany already - having sent supplies across the Atlantic for some time, utilising the lend-lease act (to maintain official neutrality) and instructing a shoot on sight policy on German U-boats. Some historians believe Hitler ‘blinking first’ was actually a strategic move on his part - so they could ramp up attacks on shipping and cut our supply lines... which very nearly worked. But regardless, the US joining was a when not an if. And much as we love to goad our friends across the pond... we’d be speaking German were it not for them.
