McCann looks and sounds like he's going through the motions. There is no outward sign that he is capable even of inspiring the players. He has been promoted one level above his ability. That's why we're headed to League 1 - it's where he belongs.
Don't think I have ever cared less about getting relegated in all my life, my interest is 0 at the minute with boy wonder in charge. Everything just feels empty, after watching the most entertaining decade or more in the clubs existance, and most succesful, this is all a bit meh, and extremely aviodable. I wonder how much realsitcally the Allams have lost messing up the takeovers, hope its a bucket load. However the sales of our top stars of the club have only prolonged the existance of the two idiots running out club. When the Bowen money is gone thats it.
Pennington needs replacing (Leo can do a job at right-back can’t he?). Or we need to look at 3-5-2. Don’t want Bowler back in to replace Wilks either. Kane at least looked like a player today.
I’ve been grafting, glad I missed it but a point is more than any of us thought I suppose. Anyone post the goals??
Typical City comes to mind, throwing away twice a lead. First half was encouraging, Kane had his best game for us, Lopes is a miss when not playing, and Batty was neat and tidy. 2nd half their manager change things, brought on Bella who terrorised Pennington, who had had a good game first half. Mc Cann should have got them to double up on him to stop the crosses coming in, but did nothing. I can't help feeling the team was told make sure you don't concede early in the 2nd half, and they come out with a defensive mindset and sit back, and invite them onto us. We are ****e at defending, so the inevitable happens. We should come out and try and get the third IMO, attack is the best form of defence. I guess a point is a fair result, and I would have taken a point before the game. Boro is massive now, but I fear Colin will outsmart Terry, which frankly won't be difficult.
Both dreading & looking forward to the 'Boro game. As you say - fearful because I think Colin will outmanoeuvre McCann easily, but looking forward to Burnsey luring Swanny into saying colourful things about Warnock, who he dislikes with a passion if I recall correctly. Bring it on.
