    Exactly.
Way I see it, Marveaux is young, he's probably going to mainly be used as an impact sub/Benny back-up.

No way would I drop Obertan after the performances he's put in, or Jonas for that matter. The fact is until one of them has a run of bad games the team is picking itself really.

Aren't we forgetting something here. Newcastle's injury record over the years hasn't been great. We've also bought in players with, let's face it, a history of injuries. So I think players on the fringe of the first 11 will definitely get their chance at some point during the season.

When Santon is playing we can see if Jonas is as good as Marv going forward, cos he's spending too much time covering Raylor atm.

I found that out after I'd posted; swear he was younger than that.
In which case... eh, Jonas'll be in his thirties by the time his contract's up.

Ba, Best, Ben Arfa, Jonas, Obertan and Marveaux are all competing for places in the team. The players in possession of the shirt should start until they have a bad game, at which point they're replaced with the one who impresses the most in training, formations permitting of course.

There's also a horses-for-courses element as well, against a left back as bad as Givet was, Obertan's natural width as a right footer is desirable. And when we play the Manchesters away shortly, Pardew might choose to go 4-5-1 and a striker will get dropped regardless of form.

For the moment though we're playing well as a team and individuals, no need to change anything for the Wolves game.

We played 4-4-2 against Villa and Blackburn and got on fine. Against QPR we had Shola instead of Ba. We should stick with a winning side.

If Wolves are going to play for a draw at home, let them. We get an early goal and force them into changes.

I haven't seen them play this season, but last year they were playing with Doyle and Ebanks-Blake up front. Either way we should go 4-4-2, we're more than a match for them in midfield even if they play five.

They put someone on Cabaye and it worked in a way. I'd like to see Marveaux on against Wolves, someone they don't know, give them something else to think about with Ben Arfa coming on for Best at half-time, with Ba coming off for Sammy after about 60 mins, unless of course Ba is battering them.
