They must be bonkers, they’ll go for someone with more experience but on the other hand why Villa would get rid of Dean Smith is crazy, he’d be a good choice replacement for LJ though
Dean Smith would be a decent shout. Whether he'd want to come here if the opportunity ever arose might be doubtful after managing in the Prem
Not as far as I can see. And Villa got a point at Newcastle last night so he isn't likely to lose his job anytime soon.
Didn't Dean Smith manage Walsall when Cotterill's city team demolished them on a regular basis? I'm not sure about him and whether he just got lucky joining Brentford. Anyone can look good with the quality recruitement team they've had there recently.
I saw this ridiculous rumour on OTIB. Absolute tripe, never in a million years will LJ ever get a better/secure/bombproof job than he has at Ashton Gate. It's beyond credulity that a club in the Prem would entertain employing LJ. Lazy and bone idle journalism.
Surely it would depend on who would replace him here? With Warnock gone from your love-list that only leaves a Pearson - or would you have Cotts back? Top half championship football isn’t something to gamble away on an unknown for me. It may be for some though......
I agree with this btw - but stand by my earlier posts. It depends who replaces him IF he was to go (unlikely).
'depends' /'IF' /'unlikely'. You go round in circles. It's disappointing you think there is nobody out there who couldn't do a better job.
