Am I reading this correctly? In the Athletic article it mentions one term of a failed takeover was that Steve Bruce would be sacked. This is the Allams, insisting that if the deal goes through, the new owners have to sack Bruce? It can't be any other way right? If it was the new owners who wanted to sack him they wouldn't need anyone else's permission, they'd just sack him. That's ****ing despicable..
I read it as the Allams would have to sack him and pay him off. Why else would it matter as part of a deal
It's sad, but mildly amusing, watching history repeat itself. Long gone is the physical aspect of football, long gone the love of it. I haven't read too much of this board, as yet. I see some usual suspects. That's good. There are so many controversial issues, but not too many with original thoughts. I still love Hull and Hull City. I still like a drink - Apple Jack, a Father's Day gift, does the job. Good luck, all. Keep well. I don't miss you. But I do.
Yep for somebody that was persecuted . Came to Blighty with 10p. Was grateful for his freedom then got caught up in his own grandiose self importance and arrogance and started treating people with contempt it appears to be SLIGHTLY hypocritical doesn't it .
I thought so too originally, but after reading it again.. "As negotiations edged towards a conclusion, the consortium was startled to hear from Ebab Allam that a condition of the takeover going ahead would be the removal of Bruce as manager." Our CEO at the time Thompson categorically refused the request. That clearly states that it was a condition requested by the Allams that if Grieves buys the club, he has to sack Bruce.
The whole COVID thing was a farce an all. Ehab saying he wants everything stopped so we stay up by 2 points, absolutely pathetic and screams of a club that’s destined for League 1.
Mt brother in law just text me, he was talking to an ex players father, apparently Sir Adam wants out of Hull FC, and the Allams have never had any intention of selling City.
Think AP is tired of the whole charade...feigning interest in a boring game in a tinpot parochial League. I can imagine having to deal with that fanbase must also take its toll.
We know the Allams don’t want to sell. Especially whilst the bank of Hull City keeps paying out to them. The only way they’ll leave is if they’re forced to. God knows how you’d achieve that though.
I'm sure it's been published on here somewhere, sometime, but do you know off-hand how much interest they are charging for the loan, and how much the outstanding loan is ? While I'm at it, what do you understand the realistic "sale value" of the club might be at the moment ?
