I've been going in on this all afternoon, I can't believe the price is still drifting! If this wins I'm going to be very happy, no worries if it doesn't just nice to have something to do!
16:55 Thirsk - Reassurance (Still a maiden but the mare has run quite a few good races. Stable has not hit form yet, but hopefully that will change soon.)
8/1 on Bet365, that is not a positive vibe but I am not backing down. 365 going 6/1 for 3 places so had some of that too.
Well done, Stick! (Bit late posting but I think I'll have a quiet little BOOM myself with Reassurance!)
That was a one horse race. The bookies and most punters were clueless there. Breakfast Club was odds-on in some places early doors but by the time he finished his race they needed to rename the horse Supper Club. 11/10 for Dark Kris was ridiculous. A maiden dropping in trip from a mile to 5F and a trainer who is 0/33 and 0% has to have been the worst value in a long time. You could use this race as an example to teach punters about the value in the odds they are taking. You need to be sure about ticking boxes to make sure everything is right for backing horses at short prices. Those boxes were not ticked today but most punters could not get enough of Dark Kris at a silly price. Good shout Stick and perhaps a lesson that sometimes a drift in price need not be a disaster.
