I feel mildly sorry for the people who have to clear up his messes, like running around after a new puppy.

The man shouldn’t be let out alone.

Yep. I don’t think there is a floor for him. Nearly each time he speaks or does something, the floor is broken and he aims for another lower floor.

    Wow.
I did hear something about the risk being higher in cold areas, as it was believed that the virus could survive for longer. I guess this might prove it, as the temperature would be about 2C in a chilled meat, packing area.

The fall out from Coronavirus is going to be incredible. I cannot see Trump getting re-elected and I think he will be in big trouble from any future enquiry initiated by the Democrats. I would not be surprised if he was subjected to future prosecution. The same is going to happen in the UK where I think it will be difficult for the government to prove that it did anything right. The track and trace mobile app is just the latest in a series of IT failures for the NHS. There is plenty of dissatisfaction in France too where Macron's stock has fallen.

It is really interesting how politicians who were offering something "new" or deemed to be "populists" like Macron, Trump, Modi and Bolsonaro have failed to manage Coronavirus. Of the "old guard," Putin seems to have performed worse which does not come as too much of a surprise.

He said it during his rally! He thought it was a good thing to brag about to a live crowd of 6200 people, with the cameras rolling.

Didn’t he claim afterwards that he was joking? He must have been, surely. Not that he’s recently shown any great gift for self mockery, but...he cannot (have) be(en) serious...

He very clearly wasn't. His aides then claimed he was joking, but when asked if that was true in an interview, he said he was half-joking but then made clear he wasn't joking:

And then he accused Obama of treason.

What a utterly stupid thing to say by Trump, but allow me to speculate his point/joke.
He thinks the USA's increased testing paints them in a bad light in comparison to the rest of the world, who seemingly are fiddling the figures. While he sees what was a thriving economy plunged into a recession because of a problem that originates from China, the plague has become a personal attack on the States. I have some sympathy for him, he was almost guaranteed a second term before this crisis hit. And now his position is under real threat from what has to be described as another total buffoon in Biden. But still today we have to put up with insular reporting from China, and their constant manipulation regarding the figures of the spread of the virus.
    __/\_______________
Here's a detailed graph of the outbreak from China. Don't question it though, you might upset them. (please check for yourself at covid figures)
They have had a new outbreak in a food processing plant, similar to Germany. But the Germans have gone into another regional lock to prevent the spread after 1500 people tested positive. What was the last figure China reported after their outbreak? 18.
So when a billionaire businessman who's become the 45th potus jokes to a crowd of 6,000 and a load of media camera's reporting to the world that he'd rather now not do anymore testing. Just be pleased he wasn't caught saying it in private.

Disclaimer. I am not a fan of DT. I disagree with most of his policies and find his views on global warming dangerous. Just to be clear.

This winter a record amount of businesses are going to shut.
People think they are stressed now? Just wait till they are open and selling nothing.
The **** is going to hit the fan with some force.
