16:25 Newmarket - Scaramanga (Jumps trainers haven't been doing too badly this week in the long-distance events. Has a squeak in this 1m6f event for Paul Nicholls. Presume it is his daughter who is on board? Last time I looked it was 7/2, will take a bit of that.)
If you're Sceptical about the price, there's plenty of 3/1 available about Sceptical on Betfair. Worthy a cheeky fiver of my money.
This horse is the best looking sprinter I've saw in Ireland for a while, conformation wise. Reminds me of an old Aussie sprinter who had a few raids on English soil a good few year back - Scenic Blast, in his makeup. Interesting to see how he goes. Different ends of the racing spectrum with Hogan and Gosden alright. Good luck with HY.
Just scraped in, absolutely pinged the gates and that was the difference. Blinding run from Sceptical in fairness, should go for Nunthorpe although I suspect hes fitter than most just now and maybe this week was his big chance.
That was definitely the big chance, I would say the yard were very confident after swerving the race midweek in favour of this. Never easy to win sprint races no matter how well you think your horse may be. That winner was game. Really gutsy. Some cracking winners today from the forum just reading through
I had some day on Wednesday, everything I was touching, I had a run of 6 winners and they didnt just win, they were having perfect trips and in no danger and at good prices, I was wondering wtf is happening here. I just had a feeling and when I checked the date, it was a year to the day the last time I saw my dad, the Monday before Ascot last year was the 17th. Strange, he was a racing fanatic as well. I dont believe in the god that he believed in but I do believe there are unseen forces at work that we dont understand, I believe we are fragments of a multidimensional entity, temporarily experiencing the limited physical 3rd dimension. Anyway, im having my best day of the week here and my best Ascot ever, a horse ive been waiting on in America just shows up at 7/2, and there is a horse running at Kempton in the 5.20, I backed it last night at 15/2 and its into 9/2. My dads name was Bernard and the horse is called Bernies Boy, hopefully its getting a bit more assistance than just the jockey.
Some shout from Pops on HEY JONESY, I bottled it and went eight places at 25/1 but that’ll do. Cheers pops
It's OK. I didn't have a bad day myself, just waiting on the winner of the last for a full house of winners on the day in Ascot
Big well done to all the winners today, especially the Hey Jonesy tips! Had a self-made glitch with my computer today. Fixed now, but missed all the racing. Teach me to mess around!
