They are totally to blame for taking so long to pass the tests.

As a direct result the club cannot plan properly for next season whereas other teams can right now.

Players that are out of contract may have been offered new ones if Ashley is staying. Similarly if he wasn’t then then players would maybe not be.

New available players who would be interested under the new regime may be thinking now nah I will go somewhere else.

Fans don’t know wtf to believe. A lot are even arguing with each other about it.

Staff who depend on the club need to know what’s going on too. If the takeover goes through the. Staff members may be released for replacements.

    It’s a shower of ****.

Nope. Not having that. Newcastle are safe almost. What about clubs below who don’t know about next season, the PL to blame for that. The only blame is the extension of the season that sees out of contract players not wanting to risk a big business age move. Look at AFCB and Longstaff at Newcastle.
Newcastle have been for sale for a while, Covid is no excuse for not getting this done earlier.
Nobody look at possible conflicts of interest with Sheff U, are they not linked somehow?

Maybe there is a clause in the deal triggering the sale when we made mathematically safe?

most thought Covid would trigger that so maybe the whole restart has messed things up in a different way?

Possibly. The club would be valued lower on relegation. Buyers would lose.

I doubt it. All indications are that the PL is deciding whether to approve the sale. I doubt they would bother if it was still conditional.

Think that dude from the Guardian had heard whispers that it was approved. That’s how I read it. Won’t know tomorrow though.

I see that the Scottish MP has said that he doesn't have a problem with the takeover as long as the Saudi's comply with the findings of the WTO.

    They already are.

Bit presumptuous on your part to assume an MP would make himSelf aware of the facts before voicing an opinion.

the 80% owners wouldn’t be interested in a loss. Keep seeing they are in it to develop, grow the club and invest in the area. A drop in book value isn’t an issue, unless they are doing it for profit?
