If it doesnt go through I would be wondering that its the case of the Saudis pulling out rather than the Premier League pulling the plug. The only people who could stop it are the Saudi's themselves. If they want Newcastle, they could have it, but maybe them taking over will expose one or two more skeletons in the closet perhaps?
Agree with this. Sincerely doubt the PL want to reject the bid as it increases the value of their product (especially in developing markets) and brings a rogue state to the table that they've had no line of dialogue with before. The PL are just playing a game of poker to get some sort of BeoutQ concession before they say yes. I think if the Saudi's call that bluff - the PL will cave and green light the deal. This Mauriss bid is just background noise (probably released by Ashley with the intention of focussing the PL's attention on what happens if the Saudis walk).
this situation is just sooo Newcastle.... it really is something that could only happen to nufc... I wonder if its the media that make things like this. it's ridiculous.
Interesting to see the Qatari WC bid links to Mauriss's companies - it's almost as though they don't realize we are in the modern world where you can find all of this stuff out at the drop of a hat. More Qatari propaganda as the EPL have no reason to reject the Saudi offer now.
