Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy to look like that but he is a professional athlete and looks more portly than others

 

Professional athletes can shift timber a lot quicker than us lot. Boxers for example, Hatton used to get fat as **** between fights and get right down

 

Only real indication is surely if he can put a 90 minute shift in on restart

 

People used to call Lampard fat when he wasn't at all and he just had a lot of chest muscle, Rose looks similar in that photo, ie not fat around the waist just broad around the chest.

 

Doesn’t BMI stand for BenArfa Mass Index. Think anything over 30 is considered obese.

 

It helps when your getting paid a load of £££££££ to do it though. Where as footballers earn the ££££££ anyways.

Rose looks over weight yes. He will probably lose it. He has not been anywhere near as good at jethro. Plus Rose being overweight just proves he is unprofessional.

 

The only downside is he’s this big BEFORE Marcy D’s opens.

I mean to be fair it did take me 2 days to post these but that was having had to locate the KY Jelly and cleaned the crust off my laptop screen having downloaded them on Saturday...

 

He's never been one for being in top nick to be honest. Pretty unprofessional but he's not alone in that regard. Comparisons with Ben Arfa are a bit unfair though He's big for him not Benny big. ****s sake our loveable frenchman turned in several stone overweight at times. Not surprised the little ****er virtually lived in chicken cottage.

Unfortunately for Danny though, he doesn't have Ben Arfa type talent levels to fall back on.

There is never an excuse for this as far as I'm concerned, there wasn't for Ben Arfa with his talent, so there certainly isn't with Rose. People who say about Ben Arfa, "ah so what when he was on I loved watching him" are just out of touch with the modern game as far as I'm concerned. The fitness levels are so high now, that talent is not enough. This was evidenced by just how poor Ben Arfa looked when unfit. A man with more talent in his right toe than most footballers, was reduced to looking like a non league player bar the odd glimpse.

More than anything though I don't know why anyone would have so little respect for their own club, to be ok with anyone disrespecting it. As fans I don't think we ask for much. Turn up in a professional condition, try your nuts off in training and matches. Hopefully the powers that be buy players with talent like Ben Arfa, because if you get talented players who are willing to meet that minimum criteria I don't think many would whinge and we'd be royally entertained. I'm not interested in the odd appearance when they can be bothered.

I dread to think how Rose will fair using the Ben Arfa fat scale as a measure. But I imagine the club will be dealing with his weight, he'll crash it off quick for all its disappointing in the first place. I don't think it will be like Rondon needing half a season to get fit. He's only ickle. Even Benny could get some of the weight off once training.
