Was reading it in a fairly neutral manner right up until Jenas appeared. I have absolutely no time for him & his opinions. TBF, his last paragraph did me laugh out loud. I think he's trying to say that black people should get high profile football jobs because they're black. Qualifications for the job don't appear to come into it. And that's when me & 'anti-racism' brigade part the way. Bugger the meritocracy, promote the black geezer that can almost lace his own football boots now!

"There's been huge conversations about the lack of opportunities for black coaches. We need to quash all of that by starting to implement [diversity] at the hiring level of management, at the top clubs and within the FA."

So is he saying that better-skilled black candidates are being deliberately overlooked Jock? And who is having these conversations - FA/EFL? If so, it's a bit of a tacit admission of guilt on behalf of their members.

I'm with you, the best man gets the job every time. But who decides who that is, and what colour/nationality are those decision makers? Is that relevant now/going forward? Will it ever change? Feckin' depressed myself now. <wah>

Just thinking, if Championship clubs follows the Premier League in having "Black Lives Matter" on the shirts of each team for the next 9 matches, some of our esteemed posters might have an issue cheering on the Mighty Whites in those games.

Heaven forfend, but if the league as a whole and Leeds within it voted to support the BLM movement who thinks they might have a conflict of interest?

Asking for a friend. <whistle>

Have to agree, I used to drive 40,000 miles per year, many of them on motorways and very rarely did I see a black coach.

The NF and BNP thank you! :emoticon-0105-wink:

Seems everyone’s an ‘extremist’ these days. I feel like my middle of the road liberal view on life and politics where you appreciate the benefits of capitalism whilst maintaining a social conscience are the new extreme.

‘extremists’ are no longer extreme. They’re the new norm. I’m the extremist now.

Got myself a banner and a catchy phrase ‘middle aged tree huggers lives matter too’,

Feels good to be a rebel

Do black sheep feel persecuted by white sheep sparky... or are they more concerned with being penetrated by white humans?

Penetration is not the problem - it's the withdrawal that makes them upset. As for the alleged persecution, it's just a historic thing dating right back to their arrival on a slave ship. <ok>

As we're playing the "Mighty Whites" next, just to be fair we're changing our nickname to the Blackbirds.

We're also having Black Sheep Matter printed on the backs of our shirts out of respect for our murky history.
