So yeh, Ehab already wheeling his manager out for the excuses of not offering any contracts. Grant saying the club has tried offering contracts. and the club has lost 600k.

    GET TO F***

Look at the history Grant, he’s not offered any contracts and if he has they are on significantly reduced terms it’s been the same for the last 3 seasons. Don’t listen to the s*** that comes out of his mouth. The clubs just sold its best player for 25 times the amount we have meant to have lost, the club doesn’t depend on gate income because there hardly is any and finally the club should be set up better than any other in this Division to deal with this financially. In some respects it should make signing free transfers easier because other clubs won’t have so much cash wallowing about. the only thing making it difficult is our horrendous league position, let’s not get into that.

    Anyway #allamsout. C***.

Looking forward to the remaining games.

I thought the interesting comment by Terry was "I wouldn't like to be an out of contract player at the moment". It looks as if clubs will have the upper hand in some respects, as most will be struggling financially, so clubs will be offloading players. Players are probably going to have to either stick with clubs and accept lesser money or hope the can find a better offer elsewhere.

It's going to be a "different ball game" for players looking for new contracts at every club, our players are no different.

I think a lot of players are going to have to swallow humble pie for a year and just get a playing contract somewhere to get through the season and see how things look in 12 months.

This situation puts most championship clubs on the same footing as us. If we could stay up we can sign a bigger load of ****e from league one and two for even less money.

You could say that City are in a better position than many clubs financially, many clubs have players on contract on big salaries, whereas we have a lot of players out of contract who might have to accept lower salaries to stay or find other clubs who will also be looking to trim the wage bill.

Or was the 'interesting' comment by Terry this one ..... “A lot of clubs will be struggling financially. Who knows when League One or Two will be able to start again next season and if that’s with or without fans". Hmmn :emoticon-0112-wonde

You could say that in some respects, and in some respects we are, although the 'fact' is we are a club with a(n alledged) debt of £50 MILLION.

You could also say that, had the pandemic not happened, we would likely be a L1 club by now .... and with a £50 MILLION debt .... and still boasting that we're the best run club.

We still might end up in L1. I think we'll stay up and the pandemic will have saved us, for now, and may even help us be competitive next season.

Problem is though we have too many ordinary players now.

Then again you only get what you pay for...

That was to some degree the point I was making, at least the debt increase will be minimised. As I said financially this virus impact is likely to be less on us than many others, who may have to start cutting their cloth accordingly from now on.

In all honesty Ehab should be looking at this as an opportunity to win promotion on a shoestring budget. We've done so much better than most other clubs in terms of keeping our wages under our turnover, and should be able to spend a relatively small sum to pick up some decent players out of the money we've pocketed on transfers the last few years.

    But that'd be too rational.

I didn't think I'd see "honesty" and "Ehab" in the same sentence on here.
