So, thoughts on the game, seems not too far off now.

A lot of rust to be dusted off and fast.

Maybe some players are back from injuries.

Pearson must have the lads well up for this.

This is the start of a 9 game condenced stampede to hopeful survival.

One thing´s for sure, it won't be easy or what we expect.

This whole break will undoubtedly throw the footballing bull to the china shop.

INJURY UPDATE / TEAM NEWS:

Isaac Success has ruptured his Achilles. Deulofeu won’t be available this season, he’s got a serious knee injury with his cruciate. Janmaat won’t be available either. But everybody else more or less is available. We’ve tried to prepare the players at a pace which really does reflect very much where they are themselves. We’ve at least had the last two weeks where the squad have really been together, and it’s allowed us to work at a pace where we think we’re as prepared as we can be given the circumstances.” Nigel Pearson.

Hard to guess the starting 11 really. That "more or less available" is a bit cryptic.

Looks like a number of subs may be used.... nine prem games in a few weeks is a big ask....

True, it is going to be tough on all players. More so maybe, those teams who in a few games are already on the beach (in glamourous locations like Clacton this year!!)

What is our strongest 11?

----------------Foster
Kiko - Kabs - Dawson - Masina
-------Capoue-----Hughes---------
Peyrera-------Doucs--------Welbeck
-------------Deeney--------------------

Been a while but I reckon that'll be it on Sat. Dawson and Mapps are pretty similar at defending but at least Dawson has a bit of height. Maybe with Grey starting, dunno, I think Deeney is in Pearsons "more or less" category.

Sarr????
I think Pearson understands what role Deeneys plays in the teams ethos
Gray has been acting and tweeting like a rebel without a cause rather than a responsible professional sportsman
