Nice one. If Rouget’s first time out are emptying late on then perhaps the approach to take is look for the ones having a second run as they will now be 100 per cent race fit.
I have never understood what makes Chantilly such a ‘nightmare’. I have been there and the back straight descends to the low point at the turn at the Chateau end of the course and then the home straight is uphill. It is quite a tight turn but this is not the undulations of Epsom or the like. Perhaps it is just the way that races are run in France that result in so many not getting a run as the final sprint to the line unfolds.
The market was dominated by the winner, yet another Sir Mark Prescott cheat the system job. Amazing in racing how some are hounded and yet others are free to fiddle at will.
