Only just got chance to post and surprise it hasnt been raised already. Interesting debate on talk sport last night didnt hear it all as I was only listening whilst driving but Stan Collymore was championing regionalisation of lower tiers of football league whilst giving some a sound basis for his case.

I personally wouldnt like to see the championship split north-south but think there is some milage in have two north and south leagues each from league 1,2 and conference fed by conference north and south.

Anyone else have any opinions on this.

How would relegation work if there were a Northern and Southern League one? 4 teams down, and lowest two Northern and Southern teams go?

Not sure really. Might boost attendances. Lower league away ends aren't often very full when you have to travel to the other end of the country...

But away trips to the south coast can be fun...

All thinks that were put to Collymore... and all things that could be managed. Clubs can move from north to south or vice versa if necessary, (ie Walsall, Shrews, Hereford, Lincoln, Notts) and your south coast trips (if you are lucky come from cup draws) therefore generating more interest in the earlier rounds of both cup competitions. The savings on travel made by clubs and more accesible away games for supporters increasing away support must far outweigh the negative points or a walsall continualy moving divisions.
