Off Topic Black Lives Matter

163 people have died during or following police custody in the Uk in the last decade. Of those, 140 were white, 13 black.

George Floyd was a threatening ex-con resisting arrrst. He didn’t deserve to die - but the man who killed him is facing appropriate punishment. Much like the many murderers around the world killing considerably more innocent people: He is as far removed form Uk racism as it’s possible to be, as the US has a cultural struggle with guns that means everyone’s life is at risk all the time. Cops die at an alarming rate over there, because criminals react without thinking and are almost always armed. It is not a binary issue. Over here, we have no such concerns. Stop and search was designed to protect the lives of innocents at the expense of searching a few likely suspects. Quite what the **** these uk protests are about or quite what the protestors want remains a complete mystery to me, I am yet to read a single article explaining what it is these ****ing idiots are trying to achieve through violent protests, looting and vandalism.

Lots of people, especially blacks, are very angry.

They say they are angry because of racism.

They are either lying or telling the truth.

Lying strikes me as unlikely.

If they are telling the truth, they are more likely to know the extent to which racism exists than I do and perhaps more than you do.

If so, it is fairly important.

personally I suspect they are experiencing similar difficulties and frustration in life today to what the white working class have come to accept for many decades before now and they think the barriers are all about race. it's not all about race its about money and feeling like it's not fair. life isn't fair and it never will be .. so they're pissed off for a real reason , but I think the reason they sight is deeper than the colour of their skin although I accept in some cases it will be just that.

I did enjoy them ripping down that arseholes statue mind although I can't agree with what's going on its just not right.

the way to change things in this country is voting labour not rioting.
