Surprised Briatore and Ecclestone would allow something like this to go ahead, obviously isn't going to be very flattering or depict the whole story from both sides.
LFW talks to Ad Hoc Films http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=14184
One film we're ALL aching to see... It's got to be an amazing document from a Rangers history point of view. Hope we can get it on DVD after it's done the rounds. Warts 'n all... we'll see why we call 'em Goons (not Amit of course!) but the irony is, they end up taking due credit for two things I'd never have believed in a month of Sundays: undiluted honesty and magnaminity! After all that palava, antagonist Briatore comes good in the end. I can hear him now as he decides against interfering in the editing studio, '...it is a far far better thing that I do, than I have ever done... ps: so sorry to have ****ed you around Rs fans. This one's on me!' Who'd have thought it, eh? A-friggin'-mazing!!
When he says 'I’ve had independent cinemas owned by QPR fans getting in touch and offering to show it,' I'm pretty sure he's referring to me! Though I'm just a Duty Manager and don't own a cinema. I will email him again today and see if we get the ball rolling...
http://marbellafilmfestival.com/index.php/en/screening-prog-oct-2011.html last film on the sunday night
I work at the Ritzy and Clapham Picturehouse, but was trying to arrange the screening for The Gate Picturehouse in Notting Hill (closer to Shepherd's Bush).
I remember being interviewed outside the ground 2 years ago by someone who said he was making a documentary about QPR(ironically I think it was during the Magilton reign) - didn't think anything would ever come of it. But after reading the LFW interview above, I'm now a little worried as I recall the chap saying he was a Sheffield Wednesday fan. Fingers crossed I don't feature in it. I remember having to sign something too which I didn't bother reading, which was obviously permission to use the footage, arghhhhhhhhhhh!
Madge, was that the interview where you said that you had complete faith in Flav and he was the best thing to ever happen to the club, and that Magilton would be the next Ferguson? Right to be nervous...
Ha! If only. The questions were fairly generic if I recall, it was after we'd got off to a good start and were 3rd or 4th I think and I was asked if I thought we could get promoted, what I thought of the owners, if we need to and whether I think we will strengthen in January - was actually fairly boring stuff (especially my replies) so I doubt it'll be in there, there are probably some far more outspoken and entertaining people that they interviewed!
