I read recently that to end slavery in England, slavers were compensated to the amount of 30bn in todays money.

This debt was paid off in 2015.

Maybe we should have compensated the slaves instead.

Given that the mayor and chief of police are both black and the citizens abusing each other and killing each other and everyone else are disproportionately black too then I don't think the problem is racism .
