I’m lucky, I fully intended to renew by the original renewal date of 11th April. Obviously events overtook that. Then when the announcement last week was that seats would be reserved if you didn’t renew I thought I’ll just wait. My main concern was not losing my and me dads seats, but that announcement yesterday left so much to be criticised
It does in that sense, yes absolutely, but, I’m not in a position where I’d signed up to the DD scheme, because me dad paid for them up front and now me mam does, so I haven’t signed up for a DD, without knowing that all I might get for me money is a ****ty stream.
Just cancel it, they cant just change the product by putting out an email or anything with the press, your agreement is with them, if you need to cancel a DD, contact your bank and cancel, then email the club and cancel, its the club that trigger the payment request from your bank, but I guess with no staff and 1 or 2 emails they may not cope. And keep a copy of the email you send to the club
Literally all that's changed are the bits that were legally unenforceable anyway. If I renew now out of loyalty to help the club I'll still be out of pocket compared to buying streams match by match and renewing when I can attend. People in more expensive seats renewing out of loyalty would still pay more for a stream than those in cheaper seats (and more than those who just buy a one off stream). Those with more than one season card in a household would still be worse off. They've not listened at all, all they've listened to is their lawyers. I honestly can't believe that Sunderland have actively made it beneficial not to give them money when they most need it, are these ****ers actively trying to kill the club?
The whole approach has been shocking. The lies about engaging with fan groups make it worse. I'm cancelling. Enough is enough. I'll renew when it's safe and were allowed to attend. I'm not being conned with a guilt trip and I await the blame being laid at the doors of the fans.
I have seen you've cited Ashley as an owner you'd be happy with a number of times. Ashley is a lifelong mag supporter, with a consistent history of angering their fanbase. I know he kept them debt free and steady, but always loitering around the bottom of the premier league with no ambition other than to display his sports direct banners wherever he could. I, like many other safc supporters am desperate to see the back of our current owners. But I don't want to go from this sh*t show into another one, because that would happen with Ashley, however long down the line it took. If we get new owners, I want a fresh start, with new optimism, and no divide amongst the supporters. Ashley would bring divide. Ashley would bring trouble, maybe not straight away, but it would come.
Ashley is a Spurs fan mate, always has been. I’m not saying I want him for the record but believe me someone like him would be a godsend right now.
Whatever team he supports, IMO he will turn out bad for our club. Throughout my life supporting Sunderland, the team has been poor to at best mediocrity. Ashley would bring no better then mediocrity. We need a new start. They don't have to be Dell, or the Arabs. Just someone with enough cash in their pockets, and fire in their belly.
Just a thought here. Does anyone remember 11th September, 2001? Of course we do. Now, does anyone remember a government employee suggesting to the then PM that “today might be a good day to bury bad news”? Maybe there’s some bad news to bury at SAFC at the minute and they’ve put this out, knowing full well that the fans will be up in arms about it. Maybe it’s just my conspiracy theorist coming out.
Donald and Methven eh, what can you say about them. This can't all be a masterplan and going the way they wanted... ... they've totally messed up and they know it. . They're like a bloke who's pulled a lass who's obviously out out of his league. He knows it won't last but he wants to get in there, enjoy the ride and come out richer for the experience. But they've stayed too long and everyone involved knows it's all been a big mistake. All pretence of civility has gone and it's becoming bitter ... ... all that's left is finding a way out, dividing up the dvd's and praying someone new comes along to take your mind of them.
Aye, they've had their leg owa, but were a s**t s**g, so she blew him out. Now he's down the pub trying to tell his mates she's a dyke.
