Imagine if fixtures stayed like this forever. Daily football matches, multiple streaming services. I've seen the future, people, and it's ****ing awful!!
the empty grounds expose the game for what it really is.. just a bunch of kids kicking a ball about.. it's crazy when you realise just how silly all the money is and the magnitude of such an unimportant thing
It really does. Notice Sky are putting out relentless soundbytes about how "fascinating" it's all going to be, when in reality they'll do very well to keep up the pretence that somehow this **** means something. The phrase "football is nothing without the fans" has never been truer. To think some players accept £300,000 A WEEK to do this, as if somehow their life has been full of sacrifice. Don't get me wrong, it's great to see Rashford trying to do good from his position, but it does make you think "Sacrifice? All kids like Rashford 'sacrificed' was a lifetime job at McDonalds". We're not talking about people sacrificing time and effort to study and become doctors or lawyers. We're not talking about people sacrificing their lives in defence of nations as soldiers. We're talking about kids who almost always tend to be thick as mince giving up shelf-stacking or bin-collecting to try and become multi-millionaires. There's no sacrifice at all. It's not even a gamble, because most of em have **** all to lose in the first place. It's baffling that the system 'allow' so many kids to try, at the expense of a proper education, and ultimately fail just so another Jadon Sancho can make a big club better/richer.
I missed the golf more, especially the Majors and a few bets to keep the interest over the weekends.,BTW Think US Open should've started tomorrow.
Just Seen Burnley have 2 goalkeepers out of contract on the 30th but seem to remember we can't re-register Dummett for the remainder of the campaign, so if Burnley's keeper picks up an injury they could be in big trouble. Obviously there may be the emergency rule for keepers but thinking a little closer to home Carroll, Muto and Gayle are all likely to break down and If Joelinton was injured we couldn't sign/register a striker who's left a cub could we?
