Well that’s alright then. We’ll just overlook the fact he’s an MP representing his constituents and showing them it’s fine to mingle with thousands of people and not bother with the social distancing before he heads home and helps bump up the R rate.

Wish he’d just drove to his parents home with members of his household and then we could have hammered him. That would have been so much worse.

Kind of, but DMT seems to be more like extending the bandwith of sensory perception, so that you are able to filter in vastly more information. Rather than it just being memory recall.

I'll use another analogy. A dog can hear sounds on wavelengths that are inaudible to humans, but the sound still exists, even though we don't perceive it. It's like our sensory perception is tuned to a certain frequency, which only allows a certain bandwith to filter through. DMT appears to open up this narrow frequency (that we base our sense of reality on) to allow huge amounts of novel information in.

It can be quite overwhelming to suddenly experience it all at once <laugh>

Even the bbc now open of them maybe the sheep will start to ope up now its in mainstream ...... :afro:

The first time everyone takes it feels like what all you can describe as the final moments..... I failed twice to go with it because not only fear but ego stopped me excepting my destiny...... After that you except it and you feel totally free from the body and my fk its like nothing anyone on my level could explain.... Its shows you a different path in life and its difficult to live in a world where people vote for conditions and rules by bullshit merchants.

Life is but a dream sweet heart <laugh>

I see what you mean. Only thing with musical hallucinations, they are not what you hear, so you might not recognise them, but they are what your senses have picked up without you realising it during your life and stored them, if that makes any sense. Interesting that DMT appears to open up another band width though, so would it be wrong to suggest, we have never knowingly known how to open up that band width, but somehow DMT allows us to, and recalls information we didn't know we had stored or allows us to pick up new information in real time?

Agree completely about the ego thing, in those initial moments when you're feeling every emotion known to mankind, along with the confusion about what's happening, it's only natural that your ego will fight against it as some form of self defence mechanism.

You have to completely submit yourself to its power to break through, and oh my once you do...

I often used to describe LSD as being a tool for deconstructing what we learn about the nature of reality. It just strips bare the constructs that society, culture, politics etc uses to shape the consensus, and lays out an undeniable insight into the actual nature of being in astonishing way.

DMT just takes it even further. And interesting that DMT is released when we dream too.

I think it's misleading to even label these substances as drugs, as that conjures up images of escapism, recreational use/abuse, hippies and airy/fairy ideas. If society took these tools seriously (like shamanic cultures do) we would learn a lot about ourselves and our place in nature, without the bullshit ego first mantra that leads to the world based on personal gratification and endless consumption that we see.

A lot of theories around what DMT does to your brain and it's still relatively unknown in that respect. Some people believe you can visit other dimensions and communicate with entities that are there.

Wouldn't neccesarily go far that myself (though I believe you can feel the presence of entities, though ones inside you perhaps) but I certainly believe it opens up more of our brain and increases our consciousness.

Whilst I agree with you about not being labelled a drug I'd say that DMT is a completely different level to LSD in that respect.

LSD can still be used as a party drug whereas DMT certainly isn't lol.

Dude we carry everything we have experienced in our lifetime in the depth of consciousness and much including the bad will come vividly to the forefront.... Trouble for us is we carry baggage in the form of our ego.

Mate of mine makes it if you ever fancy a trip to Wales excuse the pun bring big Ern with you for a crack :1980_boogie_down:

To answer your last question first, I would say probably a bit of both. And yes I would say that we are conditioned to perceive the world in a certain way, through biological sensory perception as well as cultural conditioning, but DMT lifts the veil on all of that.

Interesting you mention music, because one of the effects of DMT, LSD and other psychedelics is a phenomena called Synesthesa, where your senses don't follow the usual rules. i.e you can hear colour, see sound, taste light etc. Sounds bizarre I know, but it's a recognised phenomena that some people experience from time to time (without the psychedelics) A reductionist way of explaining this would be to call it sensory mix up. But another way of explaining it is that psychedelics expand the limits on sensory perception and allow the senses to work in ways that ordinarily we just aren't used to.
