Just a quick question, I've been to the stadium several times, and was just wondering where's the best place to sit for atmosphere?

I've always sat in Bar 1892 because my family really enjoy it.

But this time im going with a group of mates.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks!!! ;)

Also the game were hopeful of watching is Newcastle vs Wigan.

People prefer different area's of the ground for personal reasons. My brother and me had seats in the 1892 at one time but I prefer the GG end where I have a greater field of view and don't sit twisted when we're attacking the GG end.

I was fortunate enough to have the 1892 seat when we beat Man Utd 5-0 and was dead in line with Peter Schmeichel when he could only stand and watch Albert's little dink go sailing over his head. One of the best sights ever.

I've just moved to Strawberry Corner (Gallowgate/East Stand) and there has been some trouble as alot of the fans in the 'singing section' last season have moved down there and have disgruntled some of the fans that were originally there.

The problem seems to be that the fans from L7 want to stand whereas the original fans want to sit. Has caused some tension, complaints to the club and even stewards kicking people out of the ground.

The atmosphere is still decent despite but I wouldn't stand for too long, they're cracking down on it.

Gallowgate corner was brilliant on Saturday. I was in the Gallowgate end, which was pretty good, but I will go in the corner next time!
